Let's first make sure you've prepared your Gladiator to know it's OK to turn on the rear locker:
1) Shift to 4hi
2) Press (and hold—for 3-5 seconds) the traction control button to turn all stability control systems. Press the off-road+ button to turn on off-road plus.
3) Press the off-road+...
I'm not a very brave man, so I've only run it at-speed on soft roads. When I'm flooring it like that, the most action the sliders see is when I make a hairpin turn at 35-45 MPH—and then it acts like a bumpstop b/t my doors and the high shoulder to pivot the backend of the rig into a fishtail...
Can you share more details about how and where you mounted this? I have the same compressor in the toolbox, but never thought about moving it onboard permanently ?
The Paramount Automotive Gen2 rock sliders are a unique solution that fit my needs:
- Frame-mounted, full-length rock sliders
- Work as a running board
- Different heights for adults in the front and toddlers in the back
- A stainless steel look that matched the Mojave's front skid plate...
I took WayaLifes advice and got cheap LED replacement bulbs for my halogens. They really light up the night, just remember to adjust the angle of the headlights (easy enough to do with a Phillips head) down so you're not blinding oncoming traffic.
It was all fun and games until we realized we weren't the only ones on the beach. Captured this photo of a half-dozen horses walking the surf at midnight. Our speed dropped significantly after that encounter.
Just got back from Carova, where I turned on all the whizbangs and ripped up towards the NC/VA state line in the middle of the night. 11/10 would do again. The Mojave was in its element.
And—with the announcement that all models will be available as hybrids by 2025—I'm already planning on...
From the upper Midwest to the OBX and back. We camped in the Hoosier, Pisgah, George Washington and Jefferson, and Wayne national forests. (Cumberland Gap was somewhere in there, too.)
I learned I don't have the courage to wheel off-road, but I love soft-roading and overlanding. I also learned...
Honestly? I'd rather leave it, as long as it's not going to cause any mechanical problems. I love the idea of having a seashell from the OBX lost somewhere in my jeeps inner workings lol
My son threw a seashell down the left passenger air vent. Is this gonna cause huge problems, or is it just a piece of the beach that'll always be with me somewhere in my jeep?
