It is very common to have residue metal particles, cleaners, and solvents from the manufacturing/assembly process. First oil change will help with flushing that out, beyond I would honestly stick to the factory schedule, no reason to waste money. I noticed some dealers push for premature oil...
Stock Willy here with Firestone Destinations, I’ll take few months to get used to rough seas on the highway, especially if you are coming form a modern truck ride quality. It’s a Jeep thing…
Not to get into a pissing contest here, speaking from first hand experience. Close friend of family just went thru this in February of this year while moving back from Canada. He had two vehicles registered in Quebec, after moving back to the States he tried legalizing them first in MA than in...
DO NOT BUY, walk away. You will not be able to register the car in US road use unless it has been thru a very costly import vehicle legalization process, or it is older than 25 years. Most states have laws in place against selling cars that can not be legally registered, the dealer should refund...
Sounds like a small number of units that are affected, most likely supplier issue, not the engine design. I know a few people with 2.7 eco F150s, no complaints from them. This is just filler reporting… to be fair if they had a segment on FCA engine issues they would run out of air time lol
Crew cab gladiator is great since it has enough room for family, and you get the versatility. With vehicle prices today not to many can afford having a “house project” truck and a separate daily driver. You need a Jack of all trades.
Convenience of owning a truck, can’t argue there…. Years back I had a folding trailer from harbor freight, it fit in our one car garage with enough space to park a Cherokee. Crappy little thing, but pretty durable for the price.
Ultimately it comes down to how much you are willing to spend. Swapping a 392, will definitely cost you a lot more than any modern diesel repair bill, and you instantly void any warranty left on the truck. If you are really worried about durability of the oil gasser get extended coverage. Trust...
Like any other brand the dealer service quality will vary quite a bit from place to place. Most big chains just don’t care, I had way better luck with smaller places where they don’t get that much traffic and genuinely want the customer to keep coming back.
I would wait a couple of years till Ford figures out quality control and all other manufacturing gremlins with the Bronco. I agree having a truck is cool, but utility trailer makes more sense for an average driver.
