No matter what, we have our JTs now. When I was 18 or 19, I desperately wanted a Scrambler, but didn't have the $$$. Now a Scrambler is a classic and a rare, expensive find. I have 0 intention of ever selling my Mojave. Ever.
Love your rig! It is WAAAY more affordable to run 35s than 37s. If you do decide to run 37s, look for the lightest weight 37 you can find to reduce the need to upgrade a lot of other parts. Maybe consider the AEV 2" spacer lift kit with the shock extensions that come with it (about $600), add...
Title says it all. Wrangler sales also down (12% 4Q, 14% overall in 2023). Not sure if declines are result of absurdly high MSRPs, new competition from Bronco, UAW strike, or other reasons. Stellantis overall reports a 1% sales decline while most other manufacturers are reporting sales gains in...
Hmmm...maybe you could clamp a side spot light on the bar that would allow a cowl light and still be able to fold the windshield down? Most every other cowl-mounted light prevents a windshield fold-down.
I assume it is a fuse associated with the fuse box. I just know what the dealership told me when I went to pick it up. The root cause is that, at some point, my negative battery cable came off the battery post. And the battery probably drained and/or the 'master fuse' fried.
The negative cable...
This happened to me about 3 months ago. Turned out the negative battery cable had become detached from the battery terminal. I re-attached it, but nothing. Was dead and would not jump or anything. Towed to dealer. Main fuse had been blow, Replaced and worked fine. Was under warranty. Even if out...
The Rugged Ridge Arcus front bumper worked on my Mojave with the factory skid. It is a stubby, very lightweight, steel bumper that comes with a winch plate.
UPDATE: Mirrors painted & installed. Initial review.
Pros:
1. Look cool.
2. Way larger mirror surface than my Lange Coyote mirrors - so you see a LOT more in the mirror.
3. Flat (not concave) mirror surface so objects in mirror are more accurately displayed (Coyote mirrors made close cars...
1. Small mirror is hard to see from drivers seat.
2. Mirror makes objects look much further away than they are, resulting in not trusting mirror and craning neck to check without relying on mirror.
3. Totally hidden when soft doors are on.
I do like the Coyotes (better than door hinge mounted...
Saw a YT vid promoting these new JoyYutus 'doors off' mirrors that mount to the inside grab handle instead of a door hinge. They look kinda cool and the limited Amazon reviews are mostly ok. So I will buy them and hope they are stable at speed and provide better vision than my current Lange...
Well, I guess I will install an isolater. Not sure why Smittybilt would warn me not to install any other way than using their instructions, but it doesn't seem like it could hurt. In the mean time, making my own pigtail like Sharpsickle suggested should work to deal with the stuck-in controller.
