In my opinion they are not comparable trucks. We kept our Ford F-250 and actually traded in our GMC Denali 3500 dually because we simply didn't need the big boy anymore as the F-250 meets our towing needs for the fifth wheel and general hauling needs whereas the Gladiator is the fun adventure...
I've only had my Gladiator for a couple of weeks now and before I took delivery, I had the custom shop which works with my dealership put on the 3 and 1/2 in lift with 37s on the 20 inch rims. Immediately added the tonneau cover and grab handles, then replaced the antenna with a 13 inch stubby...

I have the Extang Solid Fold 2 and I'm really happy with it but it is pricey. $875 before taxes to be exact.
I wanted the tri-fold hard cover for better security of gear I keep in my vehicle 24/7. If somebody wants to get into it bad enough, they'll get into it regardless of what cover is on...
Good question, it looks sharp. I got an Extang Solid Fold II and although I'm very happy with it, the one shown in the Gladiator brochure I think look a little bit nicer...
I need to find that post you're referring to. I've got the 37 Ridge Grapplers but was told it wouldn't fit as a spare so I've got the original stock under there which is completely useless to me.
