I bought a used 2021 Gladiator. Recently I have had the blind spot detection shut off numerous times while driving. I also noticed that on the driver side, the passive entrance isn't working (passenger side is fine). Is there a common component (aside from wiring) that could be causing this...
I'm no mechanic, but I think your tow straps were not tight enough. From my experience, using duct tape and bailing wire prevents things... I might be wrong though.
I too, love my brick.
How many times have you, me, we said "They shouldn't effect aerodynamics to any noticeable extent though!". How many mods have been added that in total make our beautiful little brick a whole wall?
My car fixing knowledge is pretty dated, as in when I was in High School 94-98. But Back then I drove a few beaters that needed constant love, mainly because I would go mudding a whole lot. Back then, that was typically an indication that the u-joint was getting worn and would have slack in it...
The one thing I would add to this would be a lens contoured to the shape to be a bit more aerodynamic. We already drive bricks I realize, but I am not trying to make it a less aerodynamic brick.
Otherwise, they look awesome!
I was looking at how everything was mounted yesterday. I assume you are referring to the colored lights. Those actually looked like they have a slotted spot in the bumper to attach to. But I will look more closely tonight (drove the car today) and let you know.
Personally, I'd rather have something like this:

Neither one is practical or cheap, but If I could afford it, oh hell yes.
Who was talking practicality. Just like if I could afford it, I'd own a civilian version of the c-130, the L-100. It's a "for shits and giggles" thing I guess.
Honestly, I know nothing about those. They were installed when I bought it. The brand is Alpena, here is the website, I believe. But I didn't see these lights in particular.
