If it's a recall it may vary depending on the manufacturer but i thought they were required to be open ended.
I've had numerous silly recalls on subarus, the recall fixes the issue usually regardless of time and miles. They even reimbursed an out of warrenty fix for a bad AC condenser that I...
There was a sensor change in late 21. If the older style sensors were installed they will never be recognized. I have a 2nd set of wheels and tires and got stuck with old style sensors on the newer system. Stuck mostly because I was too lazy to go back to discount tire and have them fix the...
It doesn't appear there are many of us around. I'm in the same boat. I considered doing a rubicon and removing all the flash and basically converting it into an overland but keeping the bits that make it a rubicon. Sounded like too much work and would likely backfire on resale anyway.
I also...
Sorry. GO now and se if you can order a 2022 it's still available there. Another option is to just get a rubicon or mojove. I just built a rubicon similar to my overland and it only added another $2,000 but you do get a lot for the $2,000. Mojave was a bit more, not sure if it's worth it there...
The base price is up ~$5,000 from 2021 to 2023. That's roughly in line with inflation sitting around 7%.
I checked my overland build and it's up $7,500 as well. Most of the $2,000 increase is the fact that the axed the manual from the overland offering... that's disappointing.
That is fair. I'd rather 2nd through 6 be more evenly spaced imo. There is a bit too much of a jump between 2nd and 3rd. I disagree with 6th being useless. I use it often from 55+, but downshift out of it often if i need to increase speed at all.
Clutch could offer more feeback, i wish that the...
I neglected to put the not in there darn it... IFS is better in most situations it's just really expensive compared to how inexpensive SA setups can be.
I put Rockblokz on my JT as well i think they look great. Just FYI don't try backing over obstacles with out removing the flaps first. I...
That solid axles are better than independent suspension for every type of off-road driving.
Mudflaps are important and look good.
The manual transmission and clutch in the JT is pretty good.
I haven't modded my jeep. I"m too busy taking it places or doing things with it to post.
I say that tongue in cheek but there is probably some truth. Many people flood for advice and then leave, creating a lot of "What lift for 37s" threads. Then maybe they go on adventures and never post here...
I would agree with this except it's varied from estimating 0.5 mph high to 1.2 mpg high. This is over 41 tanks and it's never estimated low. So i guess this would mean that some calibration is off. I just use a spread sheet not a fully ap but same information. This is also not unique to this...
I got an overland for DD. I liked the slightly softer suspension vs the Sport. I loaded mine with a good portion of the luxury features, leather, heated seats, premium audio. I drive it 26 miles every day and put 18,000 on in 10 months. I don't tow anything more than my 3,500 lb utility trailer...
41 fills over 18,000 miles i've never put in more than 19.6 gallons. I'm not brave enough to run it further. My light turns on when 17 gallons are gone and i've driven past 0 miles to empty just recently. The computer also over estimates mileage by 1.0-1.5 mpg. So if you are seeing 22 it's...
Nice! Do you notice a large difference in ride between the max toe and overland? I've only ever driven an overland but know there are suspension differences.
Yep roll started mine... battery was charged ignition was on run. Can't get ignition on run with out enough battery charge which is only something like 11 volts.
Wouldn't it be possible to basically remove all jeep computers and run a standalone system? You could then run the ignition how ever you like. I'm really only familiar with this on 4cyl hondas but i've driven a few where nothing computer/wiring wise was stock and they started with a couple...
Do tires pull or push? I don't think any cars have pulling tires because it's more of a push in the physics sense. The tire is not being attracted to the road in front of it, instead it's pushing the pavement to generate vehicle movement. Movement occurs because the pavement attached to the...
Which dealer are you working with? Talking to some jeep owners in the area, some dealers are better with customer interaction than others. It's somewhat anoying how poor customer service is just part for the course from some dealers.
He didn't exactly say it drove poorly he said "an uneven driving experience relative to other vehicles in it's class". This is accurate. It drives like a solid axel vehicle that doesn't have R&P steering. Honestly aside from the comments on the enthusiasts the review was about as good as RCR...
I agree with the revving higher and lifting gas before depressing clutch. The rev hang on the 2.5L colorado MT I had was WAY worse. It felt like 5 seconds before the revs started to drop. Awful vehicle, GM is the worst.
I have 3.73 and don't feel like it negatively effects anything. I just put...
I went 15 years without a front plate on my ranger using the visor bungee cord trick. I always claimed "My front plate holder broke and i have one on order" when I'd get pulled over. I never got a ticket.
At what point does all the extra stuff in front of the radiator effect cooling during hot...
