    I got the update for $100 on sale last summer. I only did it as a backup satellite based system for places with no cell service for my trip from PA to Yellowstone and back. I used it a few times. It was a bit of a PIA to do the update and took about an hour if I recall. Probably never update...

    BFGs are notoriously small compared to their side markings. Good tires, just run small. I had Cooper 34s that were a bit taller than BFG 35s.

    Probably make some if you guys cringe…. Threw away my stock clutch hydraulics. They were flimsy junk compared to the aftermarket Centerforce stuff.

    I got mine done for $600 labor at Keystone 4x4 in Hamburg PA - near the big Cabelas. Mike is a real pro with Jeeps and manual transmissions. Took him 2 days - most of that time bleeding the system over and over. It’s worth the trip up there - I live near the DE/MD/PA line.

    It definitely fixes it! The Centerforce kit has upgraded hydraulics, correct flywheel and pressure plate tolerances and a longer release cylinder rod.

  18. Tuners for Manual Transmission

    I never ended up doing anything for a tuner. I went with a Borla exhaust (mostly to shift by sound) 5.13 gears and a Centerforce clutch. Throttle control still sucks but performance is better, even with a ton of extra weight and 37” tires.

    I have the CF dual friction and love it. I had Keystone 4x4 install it and they said it was difficult to bleed the hydraulics. Then I put in the CF hydraulics later (I had an early production clutch kit) and my local mechanic McComsey Automotive bled it and he also noted how much of a PIA it...
