I think the Gladiator will intentionally be more expensive than the base RAM 1500s and the new midsize RAMs(Dakota) so that Jeep doesn’t take away all sales from both of those vehicles and completely eat up RAM’s sales.
You might be right, but I think that it is something intentional. Yes, I saw the mules but Mopar could still make a spare tire carrier that fits onto “spare tire carrier ready” bumper just like the JL steel bumpers are “winch ready.”
I was looking over the leaked Gladiator photos and noticed this strange mound on the passenger side of the rear bumper. I was wondering if this could be a place to mount a spare tire carrier. The aftermarket Wrangler bumpers with a spare carrier have a hinge that comes out of that same area...
Things I would like to know are:
- Soft top operation?
- What the 2 hard tops are?
- Mechanical differences from the JL?
- Is the tonneau cover standard?
- Will their be a bedliner option?
- Any further plans for the JT’s chassis?
- Any word on a 2 door?
How do you think that the Gladiator’s soft top will function? I think that the back portion of it will kind of pop and slide out like the JL’s rear window does allowing for that safari look that the JL has.
