  1. Is it me, or does the JT really struggle...

Same. Sometimes I feel like my diesel has too much power.
  2. Bent Frame

I find it odd that some of these frames bend. I hit a 400 lb hog doing 75 pulling my 4k lb boat. Truck and trailer went airborne. It bent the trailer hitch from the force put on it. From what I have read, those with bent frames have aftermarket shocks that are bottoming out and becoming a bump...
  3. Stock 33’s vs 35’s Pros and Cons

I have 35 x 12.5 x 16 atturro m/t. I still get 22 on the highway at 80. 20 in town. I get 14.5 pulling my boat. I have a diesel so the torque makes the difference unnoticeable. The atturro tires were not my choice. I used run grabber x3s. But these came with the vehicle. I will say that after...
  4. Is a winch really necessary?

On a serious note, a winch is needed if you wheel hard. If you are a trail guy it's good piece of mind. It's also handy to have for various reasons when doing work etc...
  5. Is a winch really necessary?

Yes a winch is necessary. You can't look cool without a winch.
  6. Is the jeep Gladiator the best off road truck?

The most capable 4x4 of all time is the 80 series toyota land cruiser in my opinion. I know this is a jeep forum so don't kill me. I bought the gladiator because to me it is the closest thing to the 80 series. When I first drove the gladiator it gave me 80 series vibes. In my opinion the...
  7. The Jeep Gladiator IS a CAR!!

    Mine identifies as a truck.
  8. Diesel Gladiator lives on per Stellantis ?

It does. But it's a common failure point on the 3.0. Instead of a recall they only replace the ones that fail with the upgraded part
  9. Diesel Gladiator lives on per Stellantis ?

For me the mpg gain isn't about cost savings or the higher cost of diesel. You will get a lower cost per mile with the diesel but the real benefit is a longer range. I don't like to stop and fill up when traveling.
  10. Diesel Gladiator lives on per Stellantis ?

I'm not going to lie. I was pissed when I put my diesel in the shop at 30k because the damn reluctor wheel failed sending it in to limp mode. But luckily I have a top notch dealer that got it in the next day and had it fixed in a week. New reluctor wheel and crank position sensor and good as...
  11. Diesel Gladiator lives on per Stellantis ?

I wish they would offer it with a 5.7. I would jump on that in a heartbeat. These trucks a great with both engine options. But the 5.7 makes sense to me. A 5.3 ls would be perfect though.
  12. Diesel Gladiator lives on per Stellantis ?

I pulled my yamaha boat all summer with no issues. Just slow down a little on steep long grades. My boat is 3500 pound dry. Well over 4k with fuel and gear. Plus a family of 4. I also think the 3.6 would do it just fine. But the diesel torque is addictive.
  13. Diesel Gladiator lives on per Stellantis ?

The over heating is only concerning when on steep grades if you are going 70 plus. Slow down to 65 and the needle doesn't move. I would rather have the mileage of the diesel and the torque to pull like a half ton even if I have to slow down on occasion. I have towed with a 3.5 tacoma and you...
  14. Diesel Gladiator lives on per Stellantis ?

It's a smart move. 3.0 is amazing in the gladiator. Plus the rest of the world purchases diesel 70 series land cruisers. This is the only option that competes with the 70 series. I'm a land cruiser guy and always have been but toyota won't bring the 70 series to the U.S. So this is the the...
  15. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Took the boat to the lake. Averaged 13.7 mpg going 75 with the ecodiesel. Not bad with 35s.
  16. 35s and No Lift Thread

Here is mine on 35Ă—12.5Ă—17 Aturro Mts. Rides great. No lift. Truck came with this set up. Would prefer stock rims and stock bumper. But with the ecodiesel I still get 18-19 in town and 22 to 23 on the highway.
  17. Yet another goodbye

Ram is the best truck on the market. I'm partial to the Rebel trim. The 5.7 is a great engine
  18. Aturro Trail Blades MT

I know this thread is old. I have the 35Ă—12.5Ă—17 on my gladiator Rubicon. It came with them at purchase. They handle well on the road. A little noisy but not bad. I haven't wheeled with them other than some beach sand which they handled well. Did you wind up going with them. I traditionally run...
  19. So why do people like roof top tents

Your response made ne laugh so hard. I remember someone asking about a lift for getting his mountain bike in the bed of his tacoma once. My reply was similar. Be a man. Pick it up and set it in the bed.
