Went to a Jeep event for fallen First Responders over the weekend. Got to use the cargo camper conversion for the first time with the Gladiator. Can't wait to throw my RTT on it when it cools off a little more.
I was under my JT this weekend installing running boards and it looks line mine is leaking from the same area. Well, a call to the Dealership this morning.
I took mine in last Monday (the 19th of October) to have them verify the TSB and order parts. I installed the Mopar lift and 35" Nittos this weekend, and it drives so much better now. Took it on the highway, and the steering is great now. Contemplating whether or not to take it back for the TSB...
I don't know what to tell you.....We have different skid plates apparently. My skid plate has 4 bolts, and none of them line up like your photo. That piece is metal, You aren't talking about a plastic air dam, are you?
You can see in the photo of mine, that I have 2 bolts in holding my skid on...
Where the bumper hits the frame horn had to clearance it to go all the way on. You must've lucked out if you didn't have to trim. I'll also need to trim where the Rubicon skid plate hits in order to put all 4 bolts in the skid.
Must be some difference in the Overland and Rubicon trim up front...
Yeah I figured that with the Chinese parts. But I spray all of my aftermarket bumpers unless they come powder coated or something already. Got mine on this weekend along with the lift and tires.
Had to do a little trimming as did everyone else, but it bolted right up after that. Now I need...
That's the question I have. Mine isn't bad, but my Wife definitely noticed it on a long drive so I took mine in to get the parts ordered before I did my lift and tires. Who knows how well that aluminum part will hold up in 50,000 miles?
I'm not fond of having to have a critical part replaced...
Just be glad GM doesn't make Jeep. :)

Got the bumper, fog light covers and bull bar coated. Took exactly 2 cans as I suspected.
The trick to the Raptor liner is not to get too close to the piece you're spraying. The can says no closer than 24". I've found about 30" is the sweet spot for even coverage. 20 minutes between coats, and...
I bought one, and like most other people it came with scratches in a few spots. So I tore it down and sanded it with 220 in preparation to coat it with Raptor aerosol coating. I've coated my last 2 bumpers with this stuff with great results as long as the prep is done correctly. Will update with...
I'm very happy with my Smittybilt Overlander RTT. It's been from Florida to Colorado and back on my JKU. Can't wait to get my rack on and try it out on the Gladiator.
Are you guys sure it is only for the JL? The description says Gladiator in it now, maybe they updated it?
