Back in 2015 when I bought my first Wrangler, a guy in my neighborhood bought one from a "boutique" car dealer in Dallas. It was sprayed front-to-back in bedliner, and the spray was tinted a grayish-blue to match the factory paint inside the door jambs, hood, etc. He paid WAY too much for it...
Yes, from the factory, the Rubicon sits at least an inch or two taller than the Sport and Overland models due to the taller springs. I gained between 2.5" and 3" when I installed the Mopar lift on mine.
Nice truck BTW. Congrats!!
This was literally the first mod my daughter asked me about when she got her JKU. I told her it looks cool, but it's a little pricey. Plus, your Jeep has black leather seat covers, and our TX summers are like the American version of Africa. She bought an air freshener instead. Smells like...
My knee-jerk reaction would be to try and save it. If the fire's bad enough, I'd get myself and everyone else out of harm's way and watch the fireworks. I have a lot of blood, sweat, and tears invested in mine because I've turned every wrench that ever touched it. It would suck to see that go...
Sorry, I have no helpful info to add. Your story just reminded me of a buddy of mine who's dog got so excited when he put her in the bed of his truck to drive her somewhere that she took a crap in the truck bed. She was fine until they got on the road. Unfortunately, he had his rear sliding...
My 8.4 inch head unit on my '18 JLUR would randomly go blank and reset itself after a few seconds/minutes. This started not long after I bought it (new). I reported the problem multiple times to my dealer over the 2.5 years I owned it. They ended up replacing it under warranty, but I ended up...
I've been looking for a decent mobile thumb print safe. Most of them are so finicky as to whether or not they'll recognize your fingerprint. Last thing you need when you REALLY need it.
I have a Rubicon Gladiator now, and my 2 prior cars were 4-door Rubicon Wranglers, going back 8 years. I have never felt unsafe in any of them. Just bought our daughter her first car, a 4-door Wrangler Sport. If I had the slightest concern about Jeeps being unsafe, I would not put my daughter...
I'm not regearing, but I don't do a lot of highway driving. I have a company car I drive most of the time for long trips. If I had more interstate miles, and needed/wanted 8th gear for better mileage, I would consider it. I plan on keeping this truck for a while, so I can't rule out regearing...
I was strongly considering the Armory model. Glad I went with the Overland instead. Only had my Black Rhinos a few months, but so far no issues. Thanks for the heads up. I'll be checking them closely before my warranty runs out.
I don't know, but I'd say not too much weight. I'm scared to even lean on mine when I wash the truck for fear of leaving a dent.
Plus, if I ever find a girl on my hood, I have some explaining to do to my wife.
