Thank you! Just ordered the 3.5" Overland Plus Kit!
Also ordered Artec fender liners to fit the sweet Falcon Shocks! (and better protect my cat from tweakers)
Looking forward to the upgrade! ?
After much back and forth, NV sent me a full hardware pack. Even with the issues rather than return (which they offered at no charge) I moved forward. With the extra hardware, I was able to finish up the installation.
Despite what they initially told me, I didn't have to remove the bumper, so...
Does military/veteran discount compound? Free shipping?
Also, looking at the 3.5" Overland vs Premium.
Is the only difference the maintenance free bushings...it looks beefier with the square tubing.
The premium kit is about $500 more, so what is the differences to help decide?
Thanks!
Any word on suspension lift kits for the JTR??? Shopping and comparing now, so keeping an eye out.
Update 20NOV - Nevermind. Just ordered Clayton lift yesterday.
Just installed one of my first "major" mods, prepping for offroad season here in SoCal. I have to say that I am very happy with the experience so far!
I met them near Camp Pendleton, so I didn't pay for shipping....no idea on the cost.
The tonneau cover was a bit of a hurdle, but I drove up...
Just got the instructions for the lift and it looks like you installed it per the directions. Odd that the hose that long and vulnerable like that. Something to keep in mind while wheeling, I guess.
Thanks for the correction and link @kevman65. Much appreciated! I found that pic in a thread that they claimed to be stock part numbers!
I'm glad I'm not passing on the bad info.
Considering the Mopar Lift, as I hear that it will not void any factory warranty.
I stand corrected. I found a thread that that pic is from and they claimed it to be stock list.
Looks good!
2" Lift with +2" tires, should be about 4". If the shocks are stiff or haven't settled, maybe a bit more.
Did you order the resi cables to be that long, or that's how they came?
Did they come with the kit?
Very lucky, I'm thinking. Just got into getting further and putting on the skidplate. p11 of the instructions. Bumper is put on on page 7.
Learning that they are connecting the front of the skidplate to the winch mounting bolts! So, to salvage this $1200 purchase, I have to go and source...
Been working on this about a month now...and it has been a trying and frustrating installation and customer service experience.
Ordered Next Ventures bumper on June 5th. $1200. Finally delivered 9/1 -- 13 WEEKS!!! From their website: "Estimated Lead Time: 5-7 weeks"...
Finally received it and installed. Definitely not just a few hours. Especially since I really didn't know how to remove the factory bumper. A couple threads here and a Youtube video helped.
6-8 weeks on site...took just over 10 weeks. Mark that up to all of the current supply issues since...
Old thread, but I like the flex! Do you have a build thread?
JTR is my first Jeep, so looking at builds and I like the ride height of your Sarge. 35s? I look on RK site and they don't have 3.5", so are you running 3.0"...
Will keep an eye out. Bumper should arrive in the next couple weeks....will be mounting it and pretensioning the lead at that point. Already have my sights on a fairlead/front plate mount.
Yep...insurance rose as vehicles values went through the roof. I don't have a loan on my 23 JTR, but I still have keep full coverage with a high deductible.
Inflation is the worst it has been in decades. Look at the smaller items, then adjust to larger purchases. Here in South Kalifornia, the...
FWIW: I had a lifted 1996 Pathfinder that I put a winch on. Never. Ever. used it. Sold the Pathfinder about 7 years ago. I saw it around town a few years ago and asked about it...the new owner said the winch works...he pulled someone that was buried in the sand. Once.
Personally, I'm...
