I installed an IronRock 2 in spacer kit a few weeks ago. I includes 2 in metal spacers front and back with shock extensions.
I run it just as it comes, no additional bump stops as its only 2 inches, may add some later if I'm bottoming out the shock but so far I haven't, I'm not sure you really...
I think one of the main worries regarding covers is peeling the lower edge when grinding a differential over a rock. I’m comfortable with my nodular iron teraflex units holding up to this now.
Did rock crusher not get bought out by solid? I remember them from back in the TJ days. I was going to order a set but think they were gone by the time I got around to it and I went with the solid ones.
The best aftermarket diff covers were the Rock Crusher covers. Made from cast steel, not cast iron. The covers weight about 25 lbs each. I wanted them for my JT. But the company had gone out of business. I had them on my Power Wagon.
This. and it goes in line with the banks videos for fluid dynamics. Nodular iron diff covers are more than stout enough for off-roading and rock crawling. Won’t peel and have yet to see one crack- definitely won’t bend….
skid plates take away clearance, and can add one more thing to get...
All
I am doing a budget lift on my 2021 Max Tow. I have an IronRock Offroad 2" spacer lift, Rubicon front springs and pairing that with some Teraflex Sport front control arms that I got on FB Marketplace. Plus an adjustable trackbar. I will be keeping the max tow rear springs for towing...
The knuckles are an easy get. I actually ordered the steel knuckles today. The only thing not Mohave will be the reinforced frame for jumping. I have no intention to jump it. I’d say either start sport or rubicon. The deciding factor for me would be the transfer case. If you want factory 4:1 low...
Jeep = adult legos. I have the Mojave and enjoy the ride on and off pavement but I don’t rock crawl a $$$ truck ‘cause I’ve aged out of most of my stupid. The Mo’ gets you the (slightly) beefier frame, better stock suspension, and the cast iron knuckles. I did the AEV spacer lift, the geo...
If you go rubicon, you won’t get the cast iron knuckles or reinforced frame unless you get a diesel. If you want to rock crawl, a Rubicon might be your better bet, but if you want to run high speeds in the desert, consider the following:
Look at things like the AEV spacer lift, under $1,000...
...I've done already
Gator truck bed cover
Rock hard 4x4 sliders
Badlands apex winch
Rugged Ridge Arcus stubby bumper
What I plan to do
Ironrock off-road 2 inch coil spacer(on hand
Bilstiens shocks
2 inch lift Mopar control arms
2 inch lift Mopar sway bar end links
Auxbeam switch panel (on...
first, thank you for being clear and helpful. ?
I will try to respond to everything you said, as accurately as possible.
I would rather spend $500-1000$ more now than have to with it later.
What I mean by Warranty is simply this. That by using Mopar components, dealer installed,as much as...
...I was not super surprised by this, given that it had failed before, so I just ordered a new joint. This time, a beefed-up version from IronRock. I went to put it in this weekend and had my son wiggle the steering wheel while I got under there. I found the joint was fine, and the play was...
...or 2 in spacers off ebay or amazon and use the shock extensions / sway bar ends I have to make it better. The rear LCAs / track bar / bar relocation kit will also help keep your factory geometry after a 2in lift like I had.
i had the ironrock off road lift and it lasted 85k miles. Fantastic kit
I've got a 2020 JTR with Rock Trix RT114 17X9 with -12 offset with 37" BFG KO2'S. I am also running an IronRock 2 inch lift with Bilstein shocks. I really like my offset and overall stance. I may decrease the front rake, especially when I install my new winch and bumper.
After watching this, I’ll be going with a Dana or ARB nodular iron cover- for the inside design/fluid path….
that above video- while I have never seen a flat back for jeeps….. I ran a poison spyder for cost and function- really has me questioning “function”…. Beefy for impact but fluid flow was...
Have you considered using a manometer setup to evaluate the pressure differential. This is often done in aircraft (specifically experimental or homebuilt aircraft) to make sure that the altimeter will function properly. You can build your own using plastic tubing and water. Google altimeters and...
...on how much you go rock crawling/off-roading or whatever. You could droop/articulate further if you had the extensions.
HOWEVER that IronRock off road spacer lift doesn’t look like it comes with bump stops. shocks can limit droop, but they will get damaged if they are compressed to/past...
I’ve got a cheap IronRock Off-road spacer lift that came with shock extensions. I HATE the extensions and want them off my truck but can’t squeeze new shocks into the budget right now. Can I run the stock shocks without the extensions strictly on the road?
Frankly, I can't see that you'd see any changes at all unless you actually tax that engine.
You have far more than adequate cooling ability on a drive, even on hills. It's never really "taxed" until you tow in the hills.
Your engine produces xx BTUs to accomplish a certain task.
It produces more...
