Thats the exact tires and lift I wanna put on my Mojave. Any chance you know the height to the top? Trying to figure out if it will still fit in my garage. Lol
so, I was looking at this lift over at their website, it does look pretty great, but I am confused about one thing, it doesn’t look they do anything with the rear shocks, just provide brackets for the front? Is this correct? That doesn’t seem like it would work out right...
I agree, "what it's meant for" is fine but it's mine I'll <cartman voice> DO WHAT I WANT </cartman voice>
Did you replace the driveshaft when you installed the metalcloak?
That's a little aggressive for me, I just want a hair more ground clearance. I don't plan on running 37's.
...comfortable working under a vehicle and have some basic tools you can do it yourself.
I also mounted Nitto 37x12.5x17 rubber on some 17x9 Hutchinson Rock Monster wheels before the lift. Those larger wheels fit fine without any rubbing on the Mojave. I drove it for a couple weeks on the...
Hutchinson lists them at 36lbs, but I think that is without the internal 'rubber' beadlock ring, so closer to 40-45 with that. The thick matching surfaces for the halves and those 18 bolts sure don't help.
The 20" versions on my MB1017 are 85 pounds each without the beadlock ring so the...
I love the utility of the rock monster/hutchinson wheels, but weight...kills me. Wish they forged them to cut down on weight while maintaining strength.
...but in searching here to see if anyone is running the Hutchingsons I saw this post. They are making them now as their 'Rock Monsters"

stock height 35” trepadors , canoe mountain , highest road in Canada . Wife wouldnt get out of the jeep. I’m standing with my back to a terrifying cliff .
mopar lift , 37” nitto trails , 17” mopar/hutchinson double beadlocks.
...Europe on a military installation until it’s 25 years old though. If I love the Jeep and abandon the Defender idea I’ll be going to 37s on Hutchinson beadlocks after I wear the 35s out though, and I won’t be taking the Jeep up to speeds that will push the engine into any distress with the 35s...
Is that an in-store price or online? I'm seeing them for $200 online. I haven't bought the spare yet and was going to jump on the $159 for that. I despise Walmart as well, but I bought the 1st (4) from a local shop for $205 ea, so my conscious will allow me to buy (1) from Wallyworld.
...info, gents!
As of right now Walmart has the 35x10.50r17 D range for $159. Not a big fan of Walmart but at that price I got five from them.
Garage is filling up while I wait for the Jeep to get here... Eyeballing the Hutchinson Rock Monsters pretty hard since tires cost half what I was...
Wow! Rock Monsters are awesome, but one of the heaviest wheels available. At -3 offset, you could definitely choose a wheel which keeps the tires under the fender better if that’s a goal. Have you looked at the AEV Borah JL beadlock wheels (if you indeed want/need beadlocks)? They’re +25...
Likely going to be Hutchinson Rock Monsters. Probably stick with 37 KM2 or 3. that was my favorite combo on my JK. But the older I get the less I like lifting heavy tires and going through the car wash So every couple years I like to check and see if there is a good alternative.
...to focus on the conditions that seemed more likely to detect a flaw. See, e.g., Karl R. Popper, The Logic of Scientific Discovery 45 (Hutchinson rev. ed.1968) (1934) (noting that a scientist, after first detecting a condition, "might try to rearrange his experiments so as to make the effect...
