...and while I admittedly know very little about welding something like this together in terms of strength, it seems like a great work around.
Has anyone done this? Why would this be a bad idea? Any thoughts on adding a thin metal top cover to look something like the Rubi Steps made by Maximus-3?
How did removal from the top of the speaker bar and rerouting the antenna wire go? Did Maximus include instructions? I’ve got an AluCab Camper on order so this is at the top of my prep list. I use the XM daily.
Let me let you in on a little secret jack (from 48 hrs movie) you can buy a brand new take off asking $1050 including shipping and you can even negotiate a little.
In addition, Warn and Mopar always design things to work together but if you dont want the pos and neg cables to rub on the grill...
Howdy Jim,
Thanks for your reply, it helped but I am still confused, no need for alarm this is my normal state.
Instead of using all the fairlead pieces, couldn't a person just make one spacer that goes between the winch mount and the inside of the plastic bumper?
I guess until a person...
Hello Mr. Cob, I will answer your questions.
1. Yes, it is the factory Plastic Rubicon bumper. I don't know if the plastic bumper on the Sport or other models would work, but I believe they would. The shapes of the base bumper and the Rubicon plastic bumper are very similar.
2. Behind the...
...and the Maximus 3 winch mout ONLY, only because I ordered the plate first. I would have been fine using their kit: https://maximus-3.com/home/jl-winch-mount-kit
I don't see the winch mount only, which makes sense, as the kit would have saved time and money.
This winch mount is a stronger...

You say you used "Go Rhino 332000T Rockline Textured Black Fairlead Mount Plate (to take up some space between the winch and the plastic bumper),"
You also said, "I had to cut up the plastic...
I finally finished today. I had a few challenges.
1. Obviously the cradle wasn't meant to mount another tank outside the Viair 2.5-gallon tank so making the larger tank took some modifications. Then after learning that the new holes that I drilled didn't allow for the mount to bolt on, I had...

This is a one-owner Mojave in Gator. No accidents. It has been garage kept and never off-roaded hard, except for some forest service roads. This came loaded with all available options from the factory. The one item not...
I'm very happy with my Maximus 3 full height. It's super light and super strong. I didnt want to loose my mirror visibility as I back out of a blind driveway every morning. Lack of visibility makes things feel a little claustrophobic.
