  1. Garage Lift Solutions for Gladiator Hard Top

...and it's great. I can take the hard top off or put it back on in about 8 minutes, completely by myself--and that's with the hand-cranked version. There's an electric one that would be even faster. https://langeoriginals.com/collections/the-lange-rack/products/hoist-a-top-crank-for-jt-gladiator
  2. Scaffold for hard top removal and storage

That's a nice solution for a garage with enough floor space for something so massive; another would be a hoist. Mine goes up to the rafters out of the way. In any case, I agree with you about the convenience of being able to use the tonneau cover as a shelf while removing/installing the hard...

...seen). And, added bonus I've never heard mentioned: it GREATLY simplifies taking the hard top off and putting it back on. I have a manual hoist on my garage ceiling that I could only put exactly where it is because of the garage door opener. It's not quite aligned with the top when the Jeep...

...anywhere safe when I lived in an apartment and Rausch Creek was an easy day trip. That everyone with a house also has a garage to mount a hoist. Not so. That everyone with a house and garage has room to hang the darn thing - my little garage roof is full. That everyone is happy to make an...
  5. Rear roof section.

100% agree. Hard top is pretty easy to remove. I have pulled it off solo with no hoist. It's a bit awkward, but not heavy. My 20 JT Sport S is frankly one of the nicest vehicles I have ever owned. Heated seats, heated wheel. Damn steering wheel kept my hands warm on a topless day going...

The top is made to wrap around the opener ?
  7. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Their website is awful about locating the manual crank hoist. The one I got one eBay was second hand but mostly new in box. I think the previous owner had some trouble getting the piece that slips through the rear window together. I had to chuck the removable insert piece in a vise and use a...

Can you post a link to this lift please? I can’t seem to find it.

LOL - yeah, they assumed there'd be an opener there. Clever. I see the ebay seller liked my boat winch and bike hoist idea HAHAHA

Got the Ebay Hoist-A-Top installed. It took longer than expected, but It's a beautiful day and I took my time and made sure everything was nice and tidy. The way Jeep engineered the hard top to wrap around a garage door opener is pretty genius! The stair riser worked perfectly!
  11. Rear roof section.

...how the Bronco does it. I do wish there was an easier way to remove the back solo, but it's easy enough with a buddy. There is also always the hoist option, I don't think my garage is deep enough for a hoist as the garage door motor is right where the separation between the front and rear...

Recent updates include repurposing my Harken Hoist from my wranglers hardtops to the JT hard top, grab handles from darksidedesign and Rival hood struts.

  15. Gladiator Hardtop Hoist

Yes, it used to drop very easy on my JKU. I now jump in the bed and lower it from the tab/brake on the ceiling. I used part 7803.
  16. Gladiator Hardtop Hoist

Are you having issue with the hoist lowering due to lack of weight? Also do you know the part number of the hoist you are using?

...I would climb in the bed and put a 15lb weight on it or just simply push down with my and hand. Had no problems at all. The weight of the freedom panels will work as well. I have since upgraded to the Lange Power Hoist. I have no use for my Harken any longer if you have an interest in buying it.
