Very nice. What door storage rack is that? Think I saw one like that for JK but not for JT / JL and wasn’t sure if it would work.Works like a charm.

I'm about to retrofit my Harken Hoist used on my Wrangler hard tops. Any specific suggestions on the modifications? Thank you!I repurposed a Harken Hoist that I used on my previous JKU.

what part number is this hoist? Is it the 7803 with a 145lbs weight limit? Harken directed me here to see this post but they also recommended I use the 7802 with a 90lbs weight limit. They were saying the 7803 may have issues lowering the top because it doesn’t weigh enough.Hello - I'm a new member but have been following since November.
I have been searching for and waiting for a hoist to become available for the Gladiator Hardtop. I got tired of waiting and repurposed my 4 point Harken hoist used or my 2012 Wrangler. It was quite simple actually..I thought I would share.
1. moved the front drop points to be in line with the front-center of the hardtop
2. moved the rear drop points to even with the rear of the hardtop
3. removed the rear latches that were provided and attached some multi-purpose garage hooks (4.5") that I found on Amazon.
4. Raised top
5. Checked for stability - top is fairly light but this works like a charm.
some pics attached

Good morning. I must have the lighter one. Not sure of the number. The weight of the top doesn’t lower it on it’s own. However, I would climb in the bed and put a 15lb weight on it or just simply push down with my and hand. Had no problems at all. The weight of the freedom panels will work as well. I have since upgraded to the Lange Power Hoist. I have no use for my Harken any longer if you have an interest in buying it.what part number is this hoist? Is it the 7803 with a 145lbs weight limit? Are you having issue with the hoist lowering due to lack of weight? Also do you know the part number of the hoist you are using?I repurposed a Harken Hoist that I used on my previous JKU.

Yes, it used to drop very easy on my JKU. I now jump in the bed and lower it from the tab/brake on the ceiling. I used part 7803.Are you having issue with the hoist lowering due to lack of weight? Also do you know the part number of the hoist you are using?
THIS IS AWESOME!![]()

I have limited space between the garage door opener and the roof when it’s parked. I mounted two pieces of unistrut with two trolleys each. Once the roof is off, I can slide it back and raise it.
Has anyone just ran the harken hoist straps through the rear sliding window? I have a hoist I use for my Tj and the straps runs front to back.
Asking once wasn't enough? You have your answer in the other thread...Has anyone just ran the harken hoist straps through the rear sliding window? I have a hoist I use for my Tj and the straps runs front to back.
