I’m in Fayetteville, you’ve probably seen the other white Rubi they had two weeks ago when they had mine.

No worries. I’m by no means an expert and will let the Jeep veterans chime in. But I have had my mind set on a 4” suspension lift. Just for extra height. The leveling kit is good to get some clearance for larger tires.
Nice job on the lift!

Question: with 37's and a 4 inch lift, will your gladiator still fit in the garage?

I've been trying to find (with no luck so far) a picture of a gladiator in a garage from a perspective where I could see the height from the top of the glad to the garage door. Looking at a roof top tent and want to check clearance.

Current height w/the 37's is 75" to the top of the roof. My garage door opening is 92" so it should fit comfortably. I have uploaded a pic looking from the front to the back with the door open. Hope this helps.

That's a great idea, i built one for my TJ rubi years ago and it's still in place, I'll be modifying it once i get my JT too. I use a drill motor for speedy lifting and lowering too, instead of the manual hand crank on the hoist.

Approximately how much does the Gladiator top weighs?

I've done something similar to this with my 2012 JK but I was able to pass rope from front to back with window open. My main concern here is that the back bottom is so short. I don't have the hatch glass to open to pass my strap thru. I really don't want to put the hooks on the back like you did because I'm afraid of scratches. I thought about getting 1" tubular webbing and putting it under the rear and coming up both exterior sides to a carabiner connected to paracord going to the pulley. But I just noticed the holes for the bolts to bolt it to the jeep. Something I totally forgot about. I could run paracord thru those holes and tie it off to something on the inside. The cord would go straight to the pulleys. That way My concerns of metal hooks scratching my top are gone.
The more I study it, the more ideas I have and the more I change my mind. My jeep was delivered to my house the day I left for 2 weeks for work. I will get in next week and this will be one of my 1st projects.
Hello - I'm a new member but have been following since November.
I have been searching for and waiting for a hoist to become available for the Gladiator Hardtop. I got tired of waiting and repurposed my 4 point Harken hoist used or my 2012 Wrangler. It was quite simple actually..I thought I would share.
1. moved the front drop points to be in line with the front-center of the hardtop
2. moved the rear drop points to even with the rear of the hardtop
3. removed the rear latches that were provided and attached some multi-purpose garage hooks (4.5") that I found on Amazon.
4. Raised top
5. Checked for stability - top is fairly light but this works like a charm.

I removed and replaced my hard top by myself for the second time yesterday using my Racon hoist. I also marked my tire spots on the garage floor so I know where to line up in the future. Because the hard top is back-heavy, I wanted to get a few straps on the back to hold it level in-place (making it easier to put back on as well).

Once all the 8 screws are out and I’m lined up, I simply run the straps under the hardtop and cinch them down to the rack after lowering it about 2” above the top (pool noodles help protect roof from getting scratched). Then I’ll raise the hoist about 4” just enough to run the two straps under the back of the top and hook the rubber-coated S-hooks into 2 of the mounting holes.

I made sure these 2 straps have very little weight or tension on them and do not appear to be adding any unnecessary stress to the mounting holes. It’s pretty fun getting everything lined up and just lowering the top back on...as one person, the top is light enough where you can pick up each side and pull the loose straps out.

*I plan on purchasing some strap protectors to replace the strips of towels I ran under them temporarily to keep the paint from getting marked up but other than that it works great and enables me to do this solo in under 10 minutes!

**somehow I’ve managed to accumulate over 20 tarps, all varying in sizes, colors and conditions over the past 13 years as a homeowner...the Racon hoist is a great place to store them

@Sperron - you can see I have that exact pulley system suspending my bike but definitely wouldn’t trust it for the hard top!

Slightly off topic, but you mind if I ask what you did about your spare with your 37s?
