Big big big thank you to am1978 !
I did it ! ! ! I "re-keyed" my lock box!
There is absolutely NO WAY I would have been able to tackle this task without your wisdom, plus that link to the Quadratec video... your text helped the most (eventhough I do much better with pictures & drawings)...
Update: Last week we traded the 2020 Gladiator in for a 2026 Gladiator. Thus the instrument cluster problem is no longer our problem. The dealership has it now & I'm not looking back.
Wow! The improvements from a 2020 to a 2026 are mind blowing... dispite them pretty much looking the same...
MY REIGN RUN HAS BEGUN. Please create a Reign color club page.
On Tues, 6/16/2026 we took delivery of our 2026 Rubicon X Gladiator, in the color Reign.
Looks like I'm gonna need a new user name... Gray Matter was what I called my 2020 JT in Sting Gray.
Here's some pics from my first week of...
I've transfered over my rear seat cargo box. I'm eagerly awaiting the delivery of my replacement lock tumbler thingies.
I was going to wait to install the cargo box until I after I get the locks swapped out, but then remembered that it's held down by only 4 bolts... super easy & quick to remove.
To piggyback onto what Freems said, my additional advice is after unplugging the front door electrical plug the first time, remove the female side from its "hanger" clip on the side wall of the footwell. Do Not harm the wiring loom or plug in the process. Duh!
After that it is so much easier...
I am following along in your path. Got the new Gladiator that only has the open top bin. Kept my 2020 locking bin & have already sucessfully removed the locks (without damage) thanks to the PDF in the other thread. I want to install the locks before installing the bin into my new JT.
Next...
Production Number Question:
Where can I find the number of Gladiators that have been produced in each color?
(link please)
If you're not sure what I mean, I am hoping for a chart that states how many have been made in each color... more specifcally how many in Reign of the over all number of...
Thanks for the instruction .pdf I sucessfully popped the locks out of the storage bin that I have. Now I need to order the replacement locks & try my luck at getting them installed & working.
Thanks. I read part of that thread, but haven't made it very far because of the other wrenching I'm currently in the middle of... (removing parts I'm transferring from one JT to another). I'll read it start to end tonight.
Hello All,
I'm in the process of trading my 2020 JT for a 2026 JT. I am pondering a few things related to the Rear Under Seat Cargo Box in my 2020.
Does anyone know if it will fit in a 2026 JT? ... so I can transfer it over when I make the trade?
If YES, is it possible to get it "re-keyed"...
PLOT TWIST:
My Jeep dealership called me this morning.
They said they got a phone call (not just a computer generated inventory message) that an instrument cluster has shipped. I asked if this is "for real", that basically someone he talked to had it "in hand?" They said yes, and it has...
Well, I assuming my warranty company wouldn't pay for one of those, not to mention I'm not down with putting salvage yard electronic parts on just yet. What if the odometer is waaay off what I know is on my JT?
Well, I decided to take the United Radio repair option.
I removed & shipped my Cluster last night (will go out today, via FedEx).
Fingers crossed they can repair it.
Any chance a "going dead" Aux Battery could cause the Center Instrument Cluster to go dark? About two months ago my Center Instrument Cluster (behind the steering wheel) went dark.
Now I am noticing the Auto Start Stop is not working. For example, my engine has not been shutting off when I'm...
Thanks for all the posts above. You guys have described the pain & suffering I've been going thru here in 2026.
Tomorrow I plan to pull my Center Instrument Cluster that is suffering from "death screen" ,then send it to United Radio for repairs.
Fingers crossed they can fix the problem in...
That is interesting. Do you have any pull in regards to getting one sent to my certified CDJR dealership? I've been waiting one for about a month now.
The independent used car dealership where I bought my Gladiator is not having any better luck either.
