...potholes etc, kinda feels like it’s floating on the highway but the steering and such feels stock I’m really happy with them springs, netted about 3/4” in rear, the rear factory springs did not squat as much so the ironrock spacer lift did lift it.
but I am really happy with the Clayton...
So a while back I installed the ironrock 2” spacer lift. It was fine but with added weight on other mods I have done the factory springs were very compressed and I could feel simple bumps in the road hitting my bump stops.
I cannot afford the full lift I want at the moment but wanted better...
...was 6k. I had the Magnuson installed, running stock tires (wildpeak mts) with stock 4:10 gears as I have a Rubi. Also had a 2” spacer lift (ironrock).
highway cruising was 65 mph. Temps all stayed normal. Rpm’s varied, on flat to about 5 percent inclined it was sitting about 2800 rpm’s in...
You are lucky the company was smarter than some Jeep owners - 2 tons is 4,000 pounds - the payload on these is less than half of that.
I had 2,000 pound of rock in my Silverado and was really stressing it. I came back to Des Moines from Western KS with over 2,000 of antique engine along with the...
The "might" bit was sarcasm. I was conceding to your point about the frame. Indeed, it would be hard to swap out a frame. I was saying the cast iron knuckles would be easy, and something really that could be done when it's time to do balljoints, if desired, but you are correct on the frame...
...my work and installed the winch too. I have taken my stuff to Expedition for years and they are pretty awesome. When my warranty runs out and I start to think about 37s, regearing and a more customized suspension setup I will probably start with IronRock - I think they work closely with...

Anyone have experience with IronRock offroad? How well do their kits with their custom flex joint and clevis bushing on either end of the arms ride? Durability issues? Easy to rebuild? Ride good?
I am really eying this kit to do a frankenlift with, and it looks good. They even have a video on...
So I have been researching 2" spacer lifts. As of now I have narrowed it down to IronRock Offroad, AEV, Rubicon Express and Daystar.

...1 3/4".
Top pics are stock suspension with 285/70-17 tires. Bottom pics are with everything installed.
If I had it to do over again I'd probably just go with a good 2" spacer lift with 2" over shocks and call it a day. AEV and IronRock Offroad are much better options than Rough Country.
My first job at 15 was in a record store. I was the resident metalhead. There was a Fripp fanatic, a jazz fan, and some other eclectic types. It was a blast. Spent the day around music talking about music. I miss record and CD stores. I don't even think you can find CDs in Best Buy anymore...
Might be best to ask IronRock the shock questions. As for the rest, nothing else is "technically" needed. Would it be nice to have the correct amount of bumpstop, trac bars, and some way to correct caster? That all depends on how you want your jeep to drive.
So I just recently came across this lift option. And seems most are pleased with it. So it's now on my radar. So I have some questions. Actually all of them. Lol
Currently running Rubicon shocks with the heaviest Rubicon gasser front springs and max tow rear springs. Also using the 1" front...
...is since nobody else adds that..
But, AEV gets a lot of credit for doing OEM collaboration so I think they know their stuff.
If you did the ironrock I would add some sway bar links and the autolynx.. and that still about adds up to the AEV lift, so it is probably a good value since you get...
Considering a 2 inch spacer lift vs the teraflex leveing kit. Was hoping to hear if there is any pros or cons on the AEV over IronRock (vice versa)? Also, are there there other parts that one should when consider going with a 2 inch lift like adjustable track bar?
Thanks in...
