I've kept up with most of the threads that discussed the Cover King headliner but I haven't seen anyone speaking from a place of experience with both products. This summer is tracking to be the hottest summer that we have seen in Texas recently so I'd like to add a headliner.
Does anyone have...
...projecting vibration and sound. You baffled it.
And years ago GM proved that a tonneau cover actually helps reduce drag, which should reducenoise, including wind noise.
They also found a source of drag and noise was the gap between the bed and back of the cap - most pickups have that gap...
Yes I agree....I figured the injectors may be the culprit, the high pressure rattling of the pre-injection may be making them do that. It seems to go away or reduce in noise after warmed up good.
I have not put the doors on yet, so I will let you know. I just had surgery so I need to wait 3 more weeks before I can put them on.
Others on this site have said you need to bend the top half of the door so it pushed up against the door jam to make a tight seal. When I ordered the doors...
I am new to this forum and not certain if this is the place to post this , but here goes.....
Never used. Still in the box. Premium Jeep Gladiator JT Soft Top. The high-quality acrylic fabric provides an upgrade over the standard soft top, boasting a more comfortable ride with reduced road and...
It's for the wind noise in the pillar area. Wind rushing past that gap makes noise. It's like blowing across the top of a bottle. Reduce the size or depth of the gap and you can quite the noise or make it less. These have a lot of wind noise. Jeep tends to leave those areas more open due to the...
Great little setup to allow you to run external amps and hook up to factory speakers with no splicing. I do not have the subwoofer control knob (it broke) and the speaker connection pigtail is already installed on the Alpine wiring harness. Also comes with an inline powerline noise reduction...
I had some spare time yesterday and roughly wired from the battery/grounding post into the cab as a test. You were 100% correct that it would not make a difference.
Since Illinois is finally seeing better weather today (SoCal sounds better), I’ll get the mag mount out and see if I can narrow it...
I have a couple of radios in my JT and have tuned in all kinds of stuff from HF to CB to 2m and 70cm amateur and GMRS and have had zero interference from anything when the engine is on or off. Spark plug noise will be most prevalent at HF and CB and rarely goes into the UHF region. My JT is...
Out of curiosity, why didn't you put any of the sound deadening material on the outer parts of the tops? Do you think that it isn't needed? Honest question. I guess my thought would be to do the whole top giving more sound and thermal coverage. Other than that what are you thoughts overall since...
I don't think dual mass flywheels are for auto start/stop. VWs have had them for years. A lot of people don't like them on VWs either. But manual VWs don't have Auto start stop. The reason given in the VW world is for decreased nvh, which is immediately evident if you switch from dual mass to...
So, I did this all this past week. Your writeup was great. To your point, extra double sided tape is a must. Another thing I noticed was a significant weight increase of the panels with the additional sound deadening materials. The difference in sound is immediate. I'm anxious to see if...
You misread my post in a couple of instances. 1 and 5
1) I said VARIABLE intermittent. I know it has intermittent wipers. But not VARIABLE.
2) Yes. I just installed some this week. But still loud.
3) yes. But 14 mpg is still lower than 90%of the people here with stock trucks. have...
Makes sense. I just never really cared to figure it out. The heater is too hot anyways. Yup, my heater gets too hot. Always has in every jeep I have owned. Way to flipping hot. I cruise at about 73 all the time. And that gets too hot sometimes.
1-do you have the base sport? Otherwise intermittent wipers are on the future gladiator, twist the end of the stalk.
2-headliners reduce cabin noise.
3-a Jeep is a brick, very common complaint on here.
5-UConnect app allows for web-based remote start.
Temperature outside has to be less than...
