  1. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Nice setup, bout to have the same setup for door storage myself, been trying to plan for top removal and storage in the most simple format recently. Where at in Oklahoma you at? Be a good Jeeper and tell me the Tulsa area please? :)
  2. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Self made. Unistrut mounted to the ceiling. Couple of Amazon sourced trolleys with a HF electric hoist bolted on. 6’ sigh post with webbing and grommets. Couple of hitch pins to lift from factory bolt holes. Makes removal a 1 man 5 minute job and holds my top up and out of the way all summer.
  3. Bed Rack Tire Carrier

...terrible. My OE Falkens were 50.5. I’m helping things by running lightweight stock rubicon wheels. But you’re right, they’re a bit heavy in general. I’m not worried about 30 extra pounds with the spare hoist though. They’re built to hold under terrible driving conditions, so are likely over...
  4. Hard Top hoist without a garage?

I used one of those to make a hoist to lift the cap onto the back of my truck. I put a piece of unistrut down the center for additional height, and weight (salt and kitty litter) on the bottom to keep it from tipping over.
  5. Hard Top hoist without a garage?

For removal I have been thinking about using a engine hoist just need to check if the height will work., I loaded a 4'X8' steel plate on to a lifted pick up truck with this. Boom extends from 41 in. to 61-3/4 in. Crane height adjusts from 73-5/8 in. to 89 in...
  6. Hard Top hoist without a garage?

Hey everyone, I was wondering.. Has anyone made or have an idea for removal/storage without a garage?
  7. shocked by shock and spring replacement cost

Do you or does anyone have the torque specs handy for the shocks and lower sway bar end links? I’m doing this again tomorrow and trying not to forget anything. I didn’t touch the lower control arms when I did it last time so not concerned about that.
  8. What Did You Do FOR Your Gladiator Today?

...without modifications so it left one option at least in the short-term. I may try a Clayton curved track bar at some point they say it should allow a 37 to fit. Chances are I’ll never need it but at least I have one available in case I do. I think I can use the roof rack to hoist it down.
  9. Camping with your Gladiator

...(glued to the cap, not the truck), so about the same level as removing a typical fiberglass truck cap. The main challenge would be having a hoist that could support the bit greater weight and awkard cab over than a typical truck cap. My OVRLND is ~325ish lbs, so not super heavy, window-less...
  10. Pulsing random noise from right front wheel area

...felt what I was. Mechanics test drove and also confirmed they heard and felt same issue. They noticed it went away in 4Hi. They had it up on a hoist for 2 hours and could not find anything, I don’t even think they could hear the noise when it was on the hoist. They mentioned something about...

  13. Rounded oil filter cap

...have always done the maintenance on my vehicles in my shop (thanks to the person with little experience hired by the dealership). I don't mean to stereotype, but I have seen it all from hoist/arm crushed fuel tanks to splash guards, ...and that is before they get a wrench on that drain plug...
  14. One person hard top removal

I have a rack over the bed and still able to remove myself. I was able to take off all the bolts etc then from the inside lift just enough for one or the other side ro clear the roll bar and place it on a moving mat. So you are going to slide it towards the drivers or pass side.... Once you...
  15. Hardtop cradle

I loop each strap front to back and then hook both ends to hook on hoist. the only thing touching the hardtop is the strap material. Let me know if you need more info.
  16. Hardtop cradle

Also, unrelated, I have the same Liftmaster garage door opener as you, have you been able to get your Homelink to sync with it? Mine won’t.
  17. Hardtop cradle

I agree, it is not heavy. I got a brand new hoist from work, for free, so I figured I would try to make a cradle for it. I am leaning towards copying a J-Barr style system. Really just super curious to see what people have done. Thanks!
  18. Hardtop cradle

Where do you attach the ratchet straps to the top?
