I'm almost there on the camera...I am sooooo close. But the insurance app/plug-in is still a ways off for me to buy in. See the post right above this one...
Just do it, you'll be glad you have it. I had a front and rear dashcam on my last vehicle and it was one of the first things I installed on my gladiator. Has a SD card and records on a loop so no need to look at anything unless there is an incident. I used the footage on my last vehicle when a...
...the guy in front of me. When it comes to the police and insurance it is always better to be hit than to hit. Brilliant for you to have a dashcam---especially in a foreign country to prove you weren't driving crazily.
One of the reasons I buy and love a manual transmission [provided you...
...rock if it's been raining, it was dry this past trip which just made it dusty.
If you have any questions, let me know.
I have a few of my dashcam videos over on youtube, nothing fancy. I just clip them once I'm back home so I can show some family and friends. I have most of the videos from...
Dual magnetic is what I do since I have a battery case on my iPhone.
I also use my phone as my dashcam.
I placed this on my dashboard where bullet point goes. You can remove the mat and stick the metal plate base on the smooth plastic or stick a strong smooth tape on the mat and stick the metal...
I have a dashcam for the proof of what happened myself. Not too worried over all, don't like it but also won't be paying to keep the guardian thing up once it expires. Don't have a use for it, the main thing is that tracking in case of being stolen but sounds like it rarely helps or works...
So this build will be mild at best as I have a Tacoma that is built for abuse and this truck will be my daily driver. I do plan to mod this truck some and as time passes I will likely end up wheeling both trucks at some point. Back story on my Jeep journey, I bought my first Jeep the day I...
So I have been wanting a dashcam for quite a while but never could quite pull the trigger. Recently on the Big A there was a pretty good deal on the Vantrue N4 Pro and I picked one up.
I wanted to get it installed before a trip to Colorado in a few weeks. I bought and paid for mine and have...
I went with an Azdome M550 4k
It has the front facing camera, an interior camera and a third camera for mounting on a back windshield or similar. The third camera I got is waterproof and I had intended on installing it around the rear license plate but I haven't needed it. The interior camera...
My "Stop/Start not ready" message was triggered by a bank 2 cam 2 phaser. Stop /Start disabled by cam position actuator circuit open. My OBD reader called is a camshaft position sensor, (code 32) but it was the cam phaser that was the issue, the sensor was just picking up on the phaser issue...
I use an obd2 port power supply for my dashcam. It has a switch on it, making it possible to have the camera hot all of the time or only when the ignition is on.
...front seat adjustablity
Standard LED lights because the halogen are worse than my phone's light
8.5 wide rims on all trims
Maybe factory dashcams, front, rear and cabin.. Tied into the radio. The back cam can double as the rear cam and a a front and cabin cam somewhere around the rear...
I can't find a constant power. I thought I had found some but the two that I had tested and looked to have power after ignition off don't work for the dashcam. Same with my wrangler.
Would love to know of a confirmed constant on as I don't have the aux switches.
Required:
DashCam
Saved me twice. Once when someone spun out of control on icy roads when they had bald tires, came into my lane and hit me head on. Later they claimed they weren't at fault since it was a head on collision and I obviously would have had some of the blame. My insurance company...
I use a dashcam app on my iPhone called Driver. It uses GPS to display speed and the speedometer on my stock JT exactly matches the GPS speed on the dashcam app too.
Nope, the aux switch bundle contains wiring for all 4 aux switches + a switched ignition on wire + an always on wire. I'm using all 4 of my aux switches in addition to my hardwired dashcam.
