  1. Getting P0401 egr code on my 2020 gladiator.

Do you run a throttle booster? My cooler was replaced under extended warranty.
  2. Getting P0401 egr code on my 2020 gladiator.

Got it back today, egr valve failed, which failed hard enough that it clogged up the cooler also. New valve and cooler later (covered under extended warranty) and she’s brand new again.
  3. GrangerWarranty.com for All Makes and Models -- 2024 Recap, Looking Forward to 2025

this sounds good. I appreciate a dealer wanting to take care of owners. can i extend this extended warranty after it expires? originally i thought i would trade in my gladiator after 2-4 years. I would like to buy an extended warranty for 2-3years. (( I have 2023 gladiator)) BUT>>>>if I...
  4. New Gladiator: Best Advice?

Because my Jeep has been in the shop so many times, the extended warranty through a third party has definitely paid off. Other people I know haven't had the vehicle in the shop as much and so it probably would not have been worthwhile. However, we purchased an extended warranty for my wife's...
  5. New Gladiator: Best Advice?

...of calls and threatening legal action…and I was without my Jeep for half a year. After that experience, I started modifying my Jeep so it could handle any trail I wanted to run. nope, my new gladiator does not have an extended warranty…nor does my wife’s 2023 Rubicon. I’ll just fix them...
  6. New Gladiator: Best Advice?

🤣🤣🤣 Jeep extended warranty isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. Modify your Jeep and it will get voided…
  7. New Gladiator: Best Advice?

...department you can live with. Most of my negative experiences with FCA products have been dealer generated. Consider a Mopar extended warranty unless you : 1.Willing and capable to repair it. 2.Don’t mind shelling out and have a good diagnostic technician handy. Dealer service seems to make...
  8. Two JT Diesels (New) Still on the Lot

😆 🤣 Yea……I’d agree with that, although…I really don’t know why. That’s just how my ol’ noggin works. My husband and I will be talking about the same thing but we both have two totally different ways of explaining it. 🤷‍♀️ We both scratch our heads at each other. It’s difficult for us to...
  9. Two JT Diesels (New) Still on the Lot

...contracts backed by an insurer. Only the original manufacturer of an item can warrant it, no one else. Some will toss in an "extended warranty" (really service contract) that is supplied by either MOPAR or - a third party. Because shops, although connected, tend to operate as their own...
  10. Two JT Diesels (New) Still on the Lot

To be fair, you just said "warranty" and did not delineate between the factory and extended. I have noticed in other threads and posts that your style of writing sometimes have people scratching their heads over similar things trying to connect what you meant vs. what you wrote and how it reads.
  11. Two JT Diesels (New) Still on the Lot

🙄 I never said the dealership could change the original factory warranty. The dealership has the ability add or adjust warranty coverage outside of the factory 3/36 (or whatever) to make a sale. That ‘added’ warranty falls on the responsibility of the dealership and nobody else. I’ve done...
  12. Two JT Diesels (New) Still on the Lot

In my experience with extended warranties (Chevy) at the time. The extended warranty starts the same day you sign the papers. In essence you have a double warranty for the first 3/36 or 5/60 warranty. The only reason I know this is because when I cancelled the extended warranty it was prorated...
  13. Two JT Diesels (New) Still on the Lot

I don't think you understand. There is no negotiating on the standard factory warranty (3/36 bumper to bumper plus 5/60 powertrain for gas models). It is part of the vehicle. Think of it like the heater or windshield wipers. You don't negotiate those things with the dealer. The dealer is not...
  14. Noticeable Clunk When Putting Jeep into Drive or Reverse and Occasionally While Driving

Mine has 37” tires and the dealer covered mine under the powertrain warranty with no issues. The sooner you fix it the better. The amount metal from the d clutch failing will only cause other components to fail. What is a CEL? The D clutch also does the 3-4th gear shift as well, so backing into...
  15. Noticeable Clunk When Putting Jeep into Drive or Reverse and Occasionally While Driving

...have a hard clunk going into reverse one Time a day when cold. So my trans is slowly failing. I have a 7 year warranty and 75K mile extended warranty that the dealer will probably reject do to tire and gears. If I back into the garage I can avoid the clunk of reverse if that will help at all...
  16. Two JT Diesels (New) Still on the Lot

Don't forget that there is also a federal 8yr 80k miles emissions warranty also as I'm sure you know.

I like simple pricing too. I don’t shop at Kohl’s because everything is on sale 30% off plus an additional 10% off plus you get $10 Kohl’s cash or whatever. Or even worse, how about a closing statement for real estate. Many line items and some larger dollar amounts. If a dealer wants to add a...
  18. 2025 Mojave X

Many dealerships don't even "own" the building - it's leased from another corporation. All related, but it's a hell of an overhead. I talked with my sales guy a couple of days ago about all of the stuff that goes on in the background, all of the expenses most people aren't aware of at any level.
  19. 2025 Mojave X

There is certainly a "cost of business" selling cars or any other business for that matter. But the frustration many people have is the manner in which pricing is presented to potential buyers. Is there overhead involved at a car dealership? Of course. But burying the cost in some other inflated...
  20. Left in drive and turned engine off.

...pull any fuses, only checked them with the meter. No charge for the fuse. Scan was $130, and tow for 29 miles was $175 which the extended warranty paid. Shout out to the Greenville CJDR Service Department in Greenville, Alabama. And yes I have cameras outside, and no one pulled any...
