I LOVED my 3.0. It's all I would talk about whenever anyone asked about my Jeep. When it's less than 85 degrees out, it has unlimited power. However, it really shits the bed when towing in the summer heat. Add in long western grades, steep passes, head winds, or high elevation and I'm worried...
All spring I towed my teardrop with my new JLUD on 35s with no issues. I would pass folks towing uphill over steep passed at any speed I desired. The power was endless and I was ear-to-ear grins. Then. It hit 90+ degrees and everything changed. I was downright embarrassed the past two weekends...
I'm also rather curious which shocks could turn a non Mojave into a near-Mojave in terms of caliber of shocks. Yes, I understand that shocks are not the only upgrade on a Mojave.
Feels like a puff piece to combat the thrashing that the Mojave took last week from that other youtube reviewer. Not a mention of break over or skids? How hard was that trail? Defends the lunacy of 62K. Don't get me wrong I AM (also) a fanboy, but I can smell someone wanting to win favor with...
On the JLU, Willys come with better shocks and LED headlights.
On the JT Willys I do not believe the LEDs are included.
On that note, are we sure that the shocks are actually upgraded on the JT Willys? I'd love to know for sure.
Resurrecting this thread for a related question.
Does the BSM feature work to also detect cars in the lane next to the trailer, as opposed to just in the tow vehicle's blind spot?
Said another way... when towing, does the area that the BSM system "monitors" increase to account for the trailer?
Are you sure? I believe that non-Rubi trim JLs with the 3.0 get the heavier duty axel in the front 44s/m220s or whatever. But I did NOT believe they were the wide axels, only heavier. I did some vin build sheet lookups and sport JLs with a 3.0 did not say "wide" but on a rubi they did. However...
Last week, I had my rear diff fluid changed by Jeep dealer in my 09JKU with the factory LSD. I have the lifetime powertrain warranty so I specifically asked them to inspect for LSD wear and replace if necessary. They found no need to service or replace the LSD. 110,000 miles, wheeled regularly...
