I had the same issue with the scratched top. Whoever painted it did a crappy job and the clear coat has drips in it on the top. The dealership stopped responding. Which reminds me, @JeepCares could you help with both that and the TSB for the steering?

Well, this was a failure. All these part numbers are correct as an FYI. But that plastic bumper is a complex maze of body clips and other fasteners to get to this bezel that I gave up and used my drill and a dremel tool on the original panel. I just took my bumper off to install a second tow hook. I wouldn’t worry about cutting into this bumper. It’s extremely light and plastic. Just a dremel sanding wheel and cutting wheel should get this taken care of easily

I called in to my dealer and asked about the TSB. They ran my VIN and said it doesn’t apply to mine. Which is total BS. Same dealership with the huge issues on the rear window replacement. So I have sent the TSB to them. I am scheduled to get the Synergy brace installed when they are available...

yeah it was frustrating for me too. I’d wait and have them fix it instead of the going with the silicone but that’s just me.

Is an impact driver required? Planning on doing this to mine as well. Hoping I have the necessary sockets already and won’t have to have an impact driver. I do have a large torque wrench though
