I just went through this, since I only received 1 key upon delivery. The JT keys are laser cut VIN specific. You order/prepay for one through the dealer for about $180, it comes pre-cut but not programmed. Then the dealer programs it for an hour of labor using dealerconnect .So like $250 all in.

Extang now makes a hard and soft trifold for the Gladiator now...for JTs with and without the trail rails.

I'm sort of in the same boat, I'd really prefer a top that folds all the way down. But I doubt I'll actually buy another top if I had the hard top, and even more doubtful that a fully folding quality soft top will even come to market
