Has anyone used that clear paint/rock shield film that you use on your car body for paint protection on your windshield? What has been your experience? Does it work? Visibility issues? etc.?
Thinking about it for my windshield after a huge crack appeared after less than 2 months of ownership!
Surplus of Rubicons maybe? Stop offering it on the Sport/S and try and drive that business to the Rubi's with some discounts until the excess are sold?
It works but my experience has been that it tends to smear the adhesive quite a bit where the heat and wd allows it to be rubbed off a bit more cleanly. Ultimately use what you are comfortable with. I would have used my gum rubber rotary striping removal tool if I remembered where I put it. ;)
I did, a little bit of heat, lift up an end and pull it off. I used a small plastic scraper to help move it. A little bit of heat from a hair dryer helps as it softens the adhesive some. Once it is up I used wd40 on a rag after heating a little more to take off the remaining adhesive. No chance...
