wow! Your daughter sure is a lucky gal! Besides wheel and tires, you should take it to a reputable stereo place. There is a custom under rear seat JT Gladiator sub box on ebay that fits two JL audio 10 inch subs, so you may wanna pick that up first as the stereo place quotes outrageous numbers...
Get Line-X to spray your bedliner. this is one thing you don't want to skimp on is a good bed liner. I had them hit mine with a black with red flakes in it to match my firecracker red jeep. Cost was about $650 out the door
FOR SURE get it on the highway for twenty minutes or more going 80+ MPH. If there is any shake, tell them the steering boxes in these things are faulty and you want a NEW ONE before you take delivery. Tell them to TEST IT first to ensure the new box isn't bad. Steering boxes have been a real...
Thanks for the excellent replies! Much appreciated. I don't mind paying to get this figured out, but I am not very mechanically inclined, so i'll leave it to the professionals.
This is what i'm waiting to find out. I'm calling them regarding the steering box after the synergy track bar didn't fix the problem (over 75mph got death wobble)
I took my tonneau cover off. I think the gladiator looks better without it. Plus, it's just inviting theft because they think you have something to hide. Get a swing case and you can stuff your tools or small overnight bag in that. Thing padlocks, so unless they have bolt cutters, they won't be...
yeah, the number one selling wheel for the jeep aftermarket is "garbage". If I had ten bucks for every gangbanger, granny, redneck, or kid that complimented my fuel wheels on 35's, i'd be rich(er)
Installed the synergy track bar, and it made a difference at lower speeds- however, I get the death wobble and can't go over 75 MPH on the highway. Road trips are unbearable.
I'd really hate to trade this jeep in, but it's really unusable on the highway. Took a two hour round trip today and...
Still radio silence. I guess i'll need to pursue this further on different channels. I notice all these companies pay attention when they start losing sales
Quadratec is another one I won't be using again. Two week replies to emails, taking orders when they knowingly won't have the item in stock for the foreseeable future, and the list goes on! DV8 still has not replied. There is no excuse for this in 2020- and especially during a pandemic when all...
Some months back I "tried" to order a rear dv8 bumper. When I hit the "order now" button nothing happened. I didn't receive a confirmation of order email either.
I figured something was wrong with their site and ordered locally from a shop. Had bumper installed, etc.
Fast forward TWO MONTHS...
I mentioned in an earlier thread i'd ordered the Synergy trackbar, and a few people commented they wanted an update when I installed it. It worked well for me. I am not really interested in off roading as a hobby- just this thing finally driving in a straight line.
