  2. Cole hersee use

I’m looking for education on use of coke hersee, or battery disconnect. I’ll be setting up my house battery system in the bed of truck soon. Going to set up like my last rig with Redarc BCDC controller. My question is I’d like to run a 3-gang switch plate with USB outlets as well as a separate...

  4. Another PSI question

23 JTR. 2.5” Clayton Overland just installed as well as 37’s, Yokohama G003 MT. Just did chalk test and brought down to 27 on all corners. I'm still getting some, about 2/3, chalk on outer/inner treads. I’m kinda concerned about going lower though. Only drove it about a mile home since then...
  5. How to tag

How do I tag say Discount Tire in a post? I want to tag them in my already started build thread but don’t know how. Thanks!
  6. Lift installed. Tire is all jacked. Help.

Just buttoned up the install on my Clayton Overland Plus 2.5” with a 3/4 front spacer. It has the HD springs in rear for future weight. Admittedly I got myself in a pickle my removing front track bar and both LCA’.s. I fixed all that to Clayton’s measurements by doing a lot of raising/lowering...
  7. Falcon shock help

Installing my Clayton 2.5 Overland on my JTR and cannot get one lower shock bolt in. The passenger side was simple. Driver side outer bolt hole lines up perfect but the inner side bolt hole is lower about 1/3 the size of bolt. These are the Falcon sp3. Here’s a pic and it looks like a weird angle.
  8. Clayton part

Hey @Claytonoffroad, or anyone who might know. I am prepping to install my 2.5” Overland and checking to ensure everything is good to go. Unboxing the front lower control arms this piece was just floating in the box. All the rest are secured to where they belong. Any issue here or just install...

  10. To rake or not to take (not to prevent wildland fire)

I’ve seen a few posts about rake on our, on any, trucks. I like the look of leveled but I know there is some me reasons for rake. I’ll be putting Clayton 2.5” overland with HD rear springs with Alucab contour canopy, fridge, drawer, and general overland gear. With HD springs is rake still needed...
  11. Clayton 2.5” bumpstops

I’m have the Clayton Overland 2.5” that I’ll be installing in the next few weeks. I purchased different adjustable bump stops from Metalcloak as well as upper DuroSpring bump stops. I got the 2” adjustable for the front and rear but now wondering if I should have gotten the 1”-4” instead...
  12. Extruded aluminum cross bars/mounts cab

Slowly piecing together my build and trying to figure out my up-top real estate. I want to mount a single 100w solar panel over the back part of my hardtop cab. I see several half racks that would work but they’d be overkill, and extra $$$, that i do not need. Looking for a system of 2 extruded...

  16. Mopar headliner install

My rig came with the Mopar headliners. I’m thinking or pulling them off, painting the freedom tops black, installing some sound deadening and reinstalling the headliners. I’m on the central coast of CA so temps are rarely severe in either direction so mostly just looking to quiet the space and...
  17. Bump stops?

Have Clayton 2.5 Overland with Falcon piggyback shocks inbound. The kit comes with new front/rear bump stops. I know some folks upgrade to other options, Sumo springs, hydro, etc. Is that something I need to do as well? Running stock steel Rubicon bumper with Apex 12k winch. Will go with 37’s...
  18. Pardoes Trail, El Dorado NF

Has anyone done Pardoes Trail in the El Dorado NF? Overland Trail Guides says it's for short wheelbase vehicles only but curious as to the accuracy of that. Planning a trip early July and will have my lift by then (Clayton 2.5" Overland) and 37's. Overlanding the High Sierra - The El Dorado BDT...
  19. What else while doing lift

I’m starting to piece together my lift. I’ve purchased the Clayton 2.5 Overland with HD rear springs. Curious what else I should add while it’s all torn apart. I’ve heard the Metalcloak end link reinforcement brackets are a good idea.
  20. Best time for sales

My plan is to pick up a Clayton Overland Plus kit, either 2.5 or 3.5, I'm still on the fence, but when historically are the best sales offered up? Extreme Terrain is offering about $300 off and free shipping on both kits right now. Wondering if I should pounce or wait for a better deal.
