Personally, the sunrider looks ridiculous to me. If I wanted canvas, or more ease of removing, I would just get a second soft top for it, which I have still highly considered.
Same here, especially since I knew I would be tossing them around, off and on. Most times I just put them in the back without the bag and strap them down to the front of the bed. It always seemed counterintuitive to me to make a removable part look pretty.
When I bought my Ram 2500, the guy that traded it in didn't like the lack of stability he got with his previous dually, so he upgraded back to a dually. Open road desert crosswinds were a b**** in New Mexico, so I could see it playing a factor. I def wouldn't want a 1500 for a 5th wheel either.
I think most people think of the e-torque as a hybrid vehicle. In a way, you could say it is, but I'm sure Ram had more motivation to create a power-adder under the guise of a tree-hugging option. You add a battery or electric anything nowadays and the EV/Hybrid owners say "thanks for saving the...
My neighbor's Ram has the E-Torque and the truck is QUICK off the line. I akin it to an electric-driven supercharger. Low-end torque wouldn't be a bad addition to a JT that needs to tow 1/2 ton weight ratings on a less than ideal 1/2 ton GVWR. Is it reliable? I couldn't say, but he seems to...
I was just looking at that kit the other day. Glad to know it's worth the money as I will most likely jump for it. Not afraid to spend a little more on tooling/parts. In my experience as a mechanic (aviation or automotive), it will nearly always cost you more at least in time if not also in $$$...
I love my Commander with a Hemi, but good Lord it is a HOG. It's hard to get 250 miles a tank out of it. If the JT frame & axle tow rating is increased to 10K or above, I could actually use it for towing the Commander on trail rides once I do a SFA swap on it. But that's the only reason I would...
Added this to the fleet last week. My wife is happy and now I'm jealous. But it does let me focus on the Commander solid front axle swap now that we have two reliable 4WD vehicles
This is our 2-year-old female American Boxer, Hera (or Hair Bear as my wife calls her). Took her on one of our trail rides.
This was Bullet, our Staffy mix. He was 5 years old when he passed and was my "ride-or-die" boy. He used to ride shotgun in the Commander all the time.
Picked it up last Saturday. Wife and I have been talking about it for nearly 6 years. But once the L came out, she fell in love. I told her once I bought my JT, she could get her L after 1 year. Was trying to hold off a little longer with the baby on the way, but I think it was perfect timing...
Haha, that's funny you mention that. I used to date a drift "trophy girl" that would showcase table displays and car products at competitions/car shows while scantily cladded. Ironically, last I heard, she's working HR in Cali somewhere. Oh, how the times have changed :(
Ooooh, I like the Grenadiers. A few of my dream vehicles would be a Defender 110 (the old one), G-Wagen, or a Grenadier. Although my dream truck was my JTR until I bought it.... I can never be happy. The American way I guess.
The last auto shows I went to were in Houston in 2001 and I think...
Maybe they're being picky about WHERE they spend their work in putting up displays. They might be spending more time on market areas that aren't buying into the EV/PZEV market as much. I'll admit though, that should still leave them open to showcasing the new Recon (which will be trash). But no...
