You left out the option for just ĀØYes.ĀØ
I would if my kid bought it himself/herself.
Jeep“s since the JK have among the lowest injury claim rates in the industry. So they are safe. The only thing I“d have caution about is that my sons would dick around off-road before they knew what they...
He did. He claims it“s guaranteed by 100k. Common? Yes. Guaranteed to fail. No.
I have a close friend with 290k on a JK with a Pentastar. No rocker/lifter/cam failure yet. I“m sure this guy would call it a miracle.
I don“t see many towing. I tow a 3500lb boat a lot with mine throughout the summer and I don“t see any issues. I wonder if folks towing heavy off-road trailers are hitting the bump stops a lot and maybe crackng some frames that way?
On the other hand, I know this guy runs a shop and sells the...
I would try using an Optima D1200 or equivalent. Chargers like that can sometimes recover a high performance pure lead AGM battery like that. I have an Optima D400, and I think it will do it, too, but I am not sure.
Maybe a store like Batteries + Bulbs has a charger that can do it. I am sure...
Maybe the Bulletpoint dash mount and GMRS radio holder.
GMRS handheld radio for something like $20.
Or the President Bill CB radio.
There“s not much I“ve done for the Gladiator that is south of $200.
Maybe also the Harbor Freight Roadshock lights.
Sorry, I skimmed it. But notice I did give him another good option, too. You didn“t mention that.
So here it is again.
Cheap Licens Plate Bottle Opener
It can be that they changed suppliers and there is some kind of problem or defect with the new supplier. Or the same supplier had a large batch with whatever the cause of the issue was. Hard to tell. We will probably never know.
My understanding is that the recall won“t show up in the NHSTA...
That doesn“t sound right. My dealer jumps on warranty repairs with no fuss. They have an obligation to honor the warranty.
Could it be that the dealer wants the failure to progress to the point of replacing all the cams/lifters and maybe even the engine? To generate more work or a better...
From what I have seen, if you are under warranty, it should be no issue.
The dealer I work with is great about handling anything under warranty, and has even handles things just after the warranty expires.
Cams are on backorder, but they don't take long to get. Maybe a week or so.
Update...Took it to an Indy shop. I was hoping it“d be cheaper than the dealer, and it was...a little. $169 for diagnosis vs. $200 at the dealer. Ok. it“ll get me a fill up.
The good news: It was not the ABS module. It was two chaffed wires. The tech did a good job of finding it.
The...
Great video, and he“s got some good insight, but this guy ain“t Nostradamus. He owns a shop, and he“d love to replace shocks every time you come in, even at 30,000 miles.
He claims every Gladiator frame is failing because of towing and that“s just not true. Stay off the bump stops, for one...
That makes perfect sense because it is immediately triggering the warning lights when I clear the code. So either an issue somewhere along the wiring or the ABS module.
If I had to guess I“d bet the module is the culprit. The parts of the wiring I can visually inspect look perfect. I have...
The code is C003A-1D.
I“m wondering if before taking it in I should pull the rotor and see if I can inspect the tone ring for debris/metal? Maybe I can spray some contact cleaner on it and in the hole for the sensor?
Update....So the scanner said right rear wheel speed sensor, so I replaced it. ABS/Svc 4wd lights still on. I cleared the codes and they came right back without turning a wheel. I then replaced the replacement. No change, so I took the first replacement and replaced the left rear. Still no...
