The fulcrum point to flip the other way is problematic. Our Habitat customers prefer the rear flip as it provides a covered space over the tail gate area and we also offer a vestibule to enclose the space to provide privacy and protection from the elements.

The problem is that for a proper pass through you would need to cut the rear of the passenger compartment as well as the front of the bed. I'd put money on it that the engineering of the body contributes to the integrity of the system.
