Just heard from sales, as of this morning, all back orders are filled and we have a couple hundred Warn VR EVO10s on the shelf.
😲😲😲 - Yes, you heard that right, a couple hundred Warn VR EVO10 winches currently on the shelf. So if'n you want one, get cracking and get yours on order before these...
Quoting @willys 41:
Baxter's video of the oil draining back down after 35 minutes:
That's for those who don't want to wait the 35+ minutes after shutting down the engine for the oil to drain down. That's it, speed and convenience, nothing more, nothing less.
You're thinking that because...
The 3.6 isn't different than other engines. Many other engines also do not have an anti-drain back system. Instead they rely on a high volume oil pump to flood the engine with oil within seconds of starting. For the Pentastar 3.6, it takes about 3.5 seconds for the engine to get up to operating...
I got word back from our guy at Jeep, he says he believes the retainers are the same between the narrow track and wide track axles regardless of the bearing size.
He did confirm the wheel bearing difference and actually clarified it a little:
All narrow track rear JL axles use the smaller...
There are a couple issues here.
It is a possible that Dana mistakenly put the wrong bearing retainers on those shafts.
The other issue is, even if the retainer would fit, the bearings would likely be wrong.
From my notes:
All Sport JLs Both the M200 (D35) & the M220 (D44) rear axle uses set...
I've got two of those, we absolutely love them! Got 'em because they fold up fairly small for how comfortable they are.

That's real bad info, if the gears are heating up that hot, then they have a bad install.
Many aftermarket diff covers add very little extra fluid capacity if at all.
The main reason to get aftermarket diff covers for an off-road vehicle is to protect those expensive gears from impact damage...
Won't Warranty is a strong statement.
More like ARB would warranty it at their option. It would all depend on how it was hooked up, what caused the failure and what the failure was.
They've taken the time to check this issue out closely and help spot the likely cause of the problem. They...
No, that's not what they are saying.
Basically what that post is saying is if the small black wire wasn't connected, it wouldn't have melted when the compressor tried to seek ground after the main negative (black) terminal separated from the wire.
ARB reviewed the Grimm dual compressor kit and...
Loctite does help seal the bolt from corrosion.
My take on it is lube it or lock it...Period. Everything gets coated with either thread locker or anti-seize and if you use a proper torquing sequence you should be fine with either. Though I tend to use thread locking compound on thing that have...
Sorry, we don't have them listed on our website.
In the shop and studio we use 5/16" fuel line and a 5/16" Edelman plastic coupler. We have the fuel line in a bulk roll and cut it to an inch or so over our lift height. Lift it 4", use a 5" piece.
You typically don't need an extension for a 2"...

Spicer is the premium brand, they're the ones that build them for Jeeps to begin with. Problem these days is getting 5.13s from them.

I've been in the 4x4 industry for 30 years and have never seen a 35" tire/wheel combinationation take zero weights. Not saying it couldn't happen, just never seen it in hundreds of sets of tires.
I've seen quite a few take very minimal weights, we even had a 40 in here a few weeks ago take...
We see that a lot in the 8 months of rainy weather we get here in the PNW 🤪. I Rain-X my windshield and front side windows and run Rain-X washer fluid.
On long drives, I'll wash the windshield and sidewinders at each fuel/coffee/pee stop.
Dead pedal makes those long drives a lot more comfortable:

A nice head unit is another bonus for those long trips...
Definitely impressed with how well the Gladiator wheels. When we got out first JT, I was worried about the extra length, but after 3-4 wheeling trips, I was thinking ok, I could live with this.
Now a few years later and having wheeled 3 different JTs, I think they are one of the best newer 4x4s...
It may be a dinosaur, but it is still one of the best winches ever built. And the aftermarket accessories available for it are awesome, from solid state contactors to bigger motors to dual motors and even air disconnect drums. Unfortunately most of that cool stuff is in Europe and fairly rare...
