Lol, the Wis. Dot says anything with a bed is a truck. It's a JT, the JL is a Wrangler. I named mine Gladys.
Congratulations on the purchase of the most off road capable Plywood haul master on the market @Like-a-virgin
That's a sweet side panel on the Alu-Cab.
Checkout my post here on fifth brake light wiring.

Power locks on an Alu-Cab? Can you post about that in this thread? https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/alu-cab-gladiator-bed-cap.30322/page-40
Premature camshaft wear on the right side. They think it was a bad lifter, but I thought people were having variable valvetrain issues causing the wear, not from a lifter.
Either way they're ordering parts and will reschedule next week sometime.
can somebody tell me the proper way to disconnect the electrical connector on the coil pack?
I pushed that white tab thing away from the coil pack, but could not get the plug to come off, i tried pushing down on the white thing, the black thing in front of it, nothing.
So I used a flat...
Mine only happens if I Rev to 5000rpm,so I could just not Rev that high, but I'm sure it'll get worse, more worn or whatever.
These random misfires seem to happen often, I'm finding out.
I'll leave the injector swapping to the dealer. If it's an injector or valvetrain issue I believe it's all covered under the powertrain warranty.
I'm not in a great place financially to trade it in. So I might go the opposite way and get an extended warranty so whatever goes wrong in 4.5...
I've also learned, working on the JT is hard at 5'7". My abs got a real workout yesterday, and I scratched up my passenger fender a bunch cuz of my belt buckle. Took it off midway through fixing. I need some kinda platform. The 5 Gallon bucket I was standing on wasn't very sturdy.
Thank you everyone for your suggestions and encouragement. Swapping coil packs and new spark plug is as far as I want to troubleshoot the issue.
It's scheduled for Tuesday morning, ill suggest the VVL test and mention some of the issues I've heard/read about online and let them figure it out...
We don't have to test for that here, and I thought the emissions warranty was only like 2 year 24000 mile.
I'm just thrilled I bought a lifetime extended Mopar warranty on our Pacifica hybrid. Have to replace the Infotainment unit, that's half of the cost of the warranty I paid.
Considering...
I think now that the likely culprit plug, coil pack have been tested, I'll just let the dealer fix it on Tuesday, or at least diagnose the issue for a future appointment.
Seems that whatever is doing this is probably covered by the powertrain warranty.
What is the test a tech would do to see if this issue is also happening to my 2020 model with 27,400 miles having random misfire on cylinder 5 at rpm over 5000?
I don't know what the code was, the service guys just said misfire on cyl 5. I could ask them to check. Is P0300 linked to this early lifter cam lobe issue?
Wow, thank you very much! I'll stop by the dealership tomorrow. I'm actually rooting for a camshaft, valvetrain, or injector issue. I think those are all part of the powertrain warranty.
I was told if it was just coil or plug, that wouldn't be part of the powertrain. Is that right?
The dealership said if it's bolted to the engine it's only part of the 3/36000 mile warranty, but if it were a rocker arm, then maybe it should be powertrain 5/60000 I believe.
