Glad you finally figured it out. It's a shame that I had to order a sport s since I couldn't ever get any responses. No going back for me since I picked mine up two ads ago.

I asked my dealer a few different times and it was always the same response that they weren’t releasing yet. I broke down and ordered a sport s last month, so I’ll be pissed off if that’s not true.

I just gave up and ordered a sport S. I really didn’t want the power options, but no one would ever give me a response on when a base could be ordered. Why advertise a base model if you can’t actually get one?

Mine is a black sport S manual with freedom hard top. Tow package, auxiliary switch group, spray in liner and that’s it. Pretty basic, but my dealer said that the liner isn’t what is holding orders up. They could be wrong, but I’m assuming it’s about FCA early profits of more expensive units.

My manual trans gladiator is set to arrive at the lot in two weeks, and I didn’t put my order in until mid June.

I’ll have to ask around again since you were able to order. Either that or wait till gator green releases in September.

So I went and talked to David Hemontolor at the jeep store in Murfreesboro TN and he is legit. David is very aware of other dealers pricing and he knows his stuff. Jhale has mentioned him in a prior thread, but he is offering a similar deal as what we’re seeing from tri city in North Carolina...

So I started to place an order for a base sport, but was told that they aren’t available yet. Does anyone have a clue when that might happen? I work at another vehicle manufacturing facility and all of our models run through the process at the same time. I really don’t want to fork out more...

I'm actually meaning a slant back bed cover that would also support a spare tire. It would basically be a Humvee style. I've seen a couple on tacomas

I would go for a slant back hard top in a heart beat.
