My father picked up a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sport this morning. This evening, showing off to the grandkids he removed the freedom panels and had a small LED, wired thru the base of the mirror fall from where ever it was stuck.
The LED doesnāt look like one of the available aftermarket map lights...
Checking everything again with the drop brackets. Completely missed that the driver side exhaust loop is touching the drop bracket. Loosened the exhaust flange bolts on either side of the y-pipe and was able to gain about an 1/8in of gap. Still too close so still rattles in some situations, but...
Took about two months to receive a replacement axle.
This did not fix my driveline vibe issue. To add to the insult, I now have a clicking/knocking noise when making left turns under throttle. Had the front u-joints inspected by a reputable shop, they say the u-joints are fine.
Had all four...
Welp, I thought the carrier bearing drop was the solution. Jeep is now replacing the rear axle under warranty. I donāt know the exact prognosis on the axle. The axle was serviced, drain and fills, etc. only towed a flat trailer a couple times hauling yard debris. Nothing that stressed the Jeep.
Welp, I had everything inspected by a reputable shop. They told me they didnāt see how the geo brackets would cause drive line vibes. Suggested it might we the 1st signs of rear axle bearings failing. They did find a couple of bad tie rods. They re-torque on everything and found loose knuckle...
Thatās what I thought with the FAD, but Iām struggling to think what else is causing the hum and vibration. This morning I did put in to and out of 4WH a couple times just to see if that made any difference, but it was inconclusive at the speed I was moving.
I hadnāt driven the JT since...
BLUF: Vibration after installation of JKS Geometry Correction Bracket.
I have a bit of a Franken lift on my ā01 Willys consisting of Rubicon Springs/Shocks, 2in Teraflex spacers up front along with Mopar lower control arms and 1in Teraflex spacer out back for about a 2.5in/1in lift front to...
I went with some 315 Goodyear Territory MT (great deal from Discount Tire). Same tire on the Broncoās. Itās a relatively light tire for a 315. Wouldnāt want to abuse them on rocks, as I donāt think they would holdup.
I was surprised at how little difference Iāve notice in my acceleration and...
Iām going to disagree on āuselessā. Is it compromised, yes, but far from useless. I donāt need a ātruckā more than couple dozen times a year, but when I do, my Gladiator fits the task perfectly (hauling dirt, compost, mulch, trash, loaded down for a weekend long soccer tournament for the kids...
Could be as simple as loose nuts/bolts. Iāve had the same same issue after I installed my spacer lift and the Mopar lower arms. Took it to a local shop get measurements on the current alignment and learned most of my fasteners were too loose. The JL/JT torq specs are very high, and without a...
