Do you happen to have, or could you get a measurement of how tall the tent is closed? Looks like you're running at least the MOPAR 2 in and 37's. I'd like to do a similar setup, but wondering if I'll still clear the garage door with the tent.
If you're looking for some final product testers/product ambassadors, we plan to put whatever rack we end up with through its paces in the Colorado mountains this year. Just saying. ;):CWL::CWL::CWL:
I dont want to play fanboy here, but Maximus-3 did say they are already working on some ideas for a cover on the rack. Judging by how refined the prototype looks, I can only imagine how far the finished product will be advanced over it.
So I've been thinking about this... I believe the stock rake is about 1 inch. Rock Krawler already stated their lift maintains .5 inch of rake. It would make sense that the front springs are a true 3inch and the rears only 2.5 to still maintain the rake. But the lift and tires only netting...
Unfortunately, the shortest I've seen for fridges is 18-18.5. Would still put you over size with the tray. I've been looking for a short one as well and haven't had much success.
Finally had time to measure mine. High point on the hard top in stock form was 73". Stock Falken ATs sit at 31 3/4" weighted down. If you're at 76" with 35s I wonder what your 35s are sitting at height wise.
So what is your roof height now with the lift? I love the idea of this lift, but wonder if I'll still fit in the garage after I put the rack and tent on it.
Search back through the forums for the JKs and the JLs and you will find "The Lean" is notorious on both vehicles. Doesnt surprise me that its present on the JTs as well.
You are wanting a between the rails tonneau. The rugged ridge armis hard rolling, the mopar hard folding, truck hero sentry may work for you. I know Bak is rolling on their hard rolling tonneau for the gladiator. I had that one on my ram and it does sit between the rails. The top mounting...
If you're talking everyday situations and tools, gloves, a tow strap and a bag of sand or kitty litter will get most stuck vehicles out. Tube sand is fantastic because you can just leave it in the bed during the winter to give weight to the rear wheels. If someone is stuck you can pour some in...
Or, OR, you can pull the inner liner off the fenders and run them as hi line fenders a la Hurricane concept with an American Adventure Lab LED replacement fender light. Just saying.
Step one. Google roof top tents. Find a reputable tent manufacturer you like, 23 Zero, CVT, FSR, etc. Look for the tent size/ features you like. Should be able to fit up to a 72" tent on a rack over the bed. (With overhang). Can fit a max size tent on a full size rack with it extending over...
Oh I know. And I know the best is to chalk test. But we got a winter storm rolling in tonight and it'll be a few days to a week before i can effectively chalk test.
Picked her up today. Just over 30 days from order to delivery. Super stoked. What did everyone run for stock pressure? Dealer set them to 42 and it wanders like crazy.
