I have a Sport S Max Tow with the wimpy stock headlights. I've read tons of articles on upgrading the headlights to LEDs or swapping in LED bulbs. I'll likely do the Oracle Oculus full replacement at some point but for now I was wondering if there were any low cost halogen upgrades that are...
Just an update...I did go with the Trail Country EXP in LT 285 70/17...really happy with them so far with first 1200+ miles. Seem very quiet to look as aggressive as they do. The LT obviously a bit stiffer but when I am pulling our camper expect it will handle it well. Here''s a pic for...
Just curious of how the audience breaks down as far as which option you chose and some opinions of folks with both types of tonneaus. I'm not ready to spend big $s for one of the super cool TruckCoversUsa retracting/metal/aluminum units yet (wallet still recovering from Gladiator overall...
Based on this thread and other feedback previously I did the LT285/70R17s on our Max Tow Sport.
I've run multiple sets of BFG ATs, Cooper AT3s, and Bridgestone AT Revos on past Jeeps and decided to try something new in a "hybrid" with the Dick Cepek Trail Country EXP (purchased and installed...
I'm going to have to Ditto that! I ordered in late December, got word today it had arrived...picking up tomorrow!
My build sheet and window sticker DO show Trac-Lok Anti-Spin Rear Differential!!!!
Woo Hoo!! Also getting the 8.4 inch Premium radio package.
@WXman Awesome! Hopefully the bed liner situation is better now...we'll see. Yes, part of the reason I ordered was seemed hard to get all the pieces I wanted in one unit anywhere near my area...because I was searching 250 miles out to find one on the lot somewhere with no luck. Plus once I...
Thanks @Mkcagle !!! Good info...now if I can just get some more info on my status...trying to resist bugging the salesman every couple of days...end of week will be 2 weeks from last update so will try then!
I got an update last week and estimated ship date...
"I wanted to update you on your Jeep . They have assigned a vin number to it . They have started to put the Jeep together ! They also have an estimated ship date of Feb 2nd . Hope all is going well ."
...he hasn't provided that VIN # yet. I...
I'm sure someone can copy that but that decal is on the one-off "Wayout" concept and variations of it are on other concept vehicles especially those they roll out at Easter Jeep Safari where this media event was filmed. They build some awesome stuff that is truly functional! But likely not...
I'd like to see some option/configuration changes on the existing truck.
I think a Overland with MAX TOW should be done. Really do NOT understand why it wasn't in the mix from the beginning and feel like the Overlands aren't moving as quick as the Sport S and Rubicons though they have a nice...
All:
I finally pulled the trigger and ordered my Gladiator around about 12/27...no issue with a 2-3 month wait (I hope!) as that will get us through winter and into early spring when I really need the truck to pull our camper. Been waiting and watching forum for a long time!
I ordered a Red...
Yes, the price is nice compared to other ATs. Also found out they apparently are actually manufactured by Cooper just private labeled to Cepek so that's good...was seriously considering Discoverer AT3s but already have 2 sets on our JGC and TJ...happy with them but thought I would try something...
Yes...will consider the takeoff route if the opportunity presents itself but 4 new ones at that price would bring me in under the 1K probably!
As far as E rated...as noted...will be towing so logic is that the stiffer sidewall will be better for us when under load to keep things in control.
I'm doing a Sport S Max Tow build soon but planning to immediately dump the stock tires and go to the same size as stock Rubicon (LT285/70R17). As much as I want to put 35s on I will be towing a 4200 lb travel trailer so need to keep tire size reasonable with that in mind and impact to gearing...
I'd check with Adventuon on how they handle that but the contact point at Goose Gear is included in my post if you want to ask directly...
"If you have any questions or difficulty ordering, hit me up at [email protected]"
Good luck!
...
bgenlvtex...I reached out to a contact I have at Goose Gear and he provided some more insight. See below.
Goose Gear is a build-to-order manufacture selling through a network of 65 dealers across the US & Canada. Most are smaller shops but a growing number of them also have an online presence...
Goose Gear is offering deals on pre-orders of their second row seat delete setup. Great if you're setting up for overlanding and want to add some custom mounts for gear OR you have pets that will be spending a lot of time back there!
NOTE: These are preorders so will still be a bit before they...
