I've used many different lights through the years. I'd have to say the LP6s are my favorites. The spread is amazing. The reach isn't quite as great as some of the BD and Rigid Industries light bars I had on previous Jeeps, which is why I added the XL-R Racer Edition spots. For Off-Road use...
I always swap tops when the temps get a bit chilly for topless driving. It usually takes 5-10 minutes to remove or re-install the Sunrider...no need to disassemble it. There are a few different options for insulating the hard top. I have the Hotheads and they seem to help.
I'm not sure he said both of his fobs stopped working...plural in first paragraph, but singular in second. I've had to replace batteries in each of my Gladiator's fobs since I received it in August of 2019.
Edit...oh...guess I should have read the title. But...both batteries are the same age...
You might try installing a new battery in the key fob. Range issues can happen when the fob battery gets low. It happened to me just last week, in fact. When the battery has gotten low in the past, I either get a message that the key fob is not detected or to hold the fob next to the ignition...
Do not attempt the route these people took (Thompson Canyon/Polar Mesa) for at least several weeks. The snowpack in the LaSals is currently at about 300% of average with more on the way. As Rory said in the video, the group did not want to turn around because they thought they could not get...
I disagree. The clips will work just fine. Why replace the visor? This happened to me about 10 days ago. I ordered the aluminum clips from Amazon that will replace both screws. They will be here tomorrow. So far, only the driver's side visor has dropped down. But I will install a clip on...
No need to mess with those pesky rivets. The entire fender/liner assembly removes and reinstalls quickly and easily. I didn't even need to remove my 35" tires to change the aux battery.
That might work if you removed the tire and had a way to hold the fender liner out of the way...in warm weather. Still seems like it would be awkward. I changed mine in 25-degree temps and took the Jeep for a drive first to warm up the fender area and make the plastic fender clips more...
In my opinion, it's easier to remove the full fender than to remove the liner as shown in the video. The fender rivets can be a pain to replace. There are numerous videos that show pulling the liner, but I have not yet seen one showing how to replace the fender rivets. To remove the fender...
There are 2 different fuse arrays. The one needed depends on the fan installed in your vehicle.
fuse array with 60A fan - 68368853AA
fuse array with 100A fan - 68368854AA
But I'd be surprised if that is source of the issue here. Easy to check though. I keep one of those fuse arrays as a...
It took me 5 minutes or less to remove the entire fender when I replaced both batteries a week or so ago. Surprisingly simple....only 4 bolts, one plug to disconnect, and pull the whole fender right off. And about 3 of those minutes were spent trying to get the dang fender lighting plug...
Exactly. It's sad to see what has happened to many of the areas around Moab in the past 10 years or so. Personally, I find the initial photos in this thread to be interesting and pretty dang cool. I go to car shows just to see stuff like this. And if it's cruisin' down Main Street, even better!
Yup...Jeep stopped calling them roll bars quite a few years ago. I still have the brochure from the Scrambler I bought in 1982. According to the brochure, it was equipped with "hefty 3" roll bars." At some point, Jeep started using the term "sport bar."
I didn't want a full rack for my...
Replaced both of my batteries last week. I lost front and rear cameras for a couple of hours but everything else worked as soon as I restarted the Jeep. ESS had not worked (thankfully) for about 2 years, but it came back with the new batteries. I was surprised that I did not even lose my...
You saw the photos of the seat backs in the Molle thread. These are the only other photos I have of them. I also have Bartact's fantastic visor covers. I ordered the console cover but did not like it...don't remember why. As I mentioned in the other thread, I had the Trek Armor (now Bartact)...
Hehe...this is my "Ready Truck" for Search and Rescue. There's a large truckbox in the bed full of additional gear. The "house" is a 100-year-old log cabin overlooking Arches National Park.
Another vote for Bartact...had them in my JK back when they were Trek Armor. Bombproof. Simply not enough molle attachment space on the standard Rubi seats.
