  1. So at the end of the day why the Gladiator? Pickup is better

So I am waiting on a gladiator because I'm not interested in fighting the hype and have no problem waiting a couple of years. So for now I picked up a 19 rebel for 45k. The rebel is decent off road with Duratracs, small lift and rear lockers. It does everything I need it to do and so far I am...
  2. Thank you Jeep & FCA

    Ta' fk?
  3. Well couldn't wait any longer

I just couldn't wait any longer. My wife forced me to buy two new 4-wheelers :) and I needed a tow rig so....I normally buy new vehicles every two years so I figured I would give the gladiator two years to release the diesel and smooth out any bugs before I buy. The rebel is a decent truck and...
  4. Americans' Thirst for Wrangler Quenched? - Article

I agree, my 14 rubiX MSRP was $40700 and to pick up a 18 JL with the same options is $48500. They are going to kill their own sales with increases like this.
  5. Americans' Thirst for Wrangler Quenched? - Article

I was shocked to see how many 18's are still sitting on the dealer lots around here. The funny part is they are still not giving great discounts on them.
  6. What’s your price Point?

I wish but I would be shokcked if a fully loaded Rubi wasn't in the mid $50k range.
  7. Ourisman Clarksville Gladiator Group Buy Updates!

Hmmm fly down then 8 ish hour drive back, I would be interested if the deal is good.
  8. Gladiator buyers - have you owned a Wrangler?

My 14 has been the best so far for me. My CJ and TJ were the most reliable and would never die but they were not great on the road. They both were horrible to drive compared to the JK. My CJ didn't put out much heat, in the winter it would hardley defrost the window let alone warm up the...
  9. What’s your price Point?

I have my fingers crossed that I can get a diesel loaded rubi for $60k. I don't have any problem waiting a year or so for the frenzy to calm down.
  10. New England international auto show next for the gladiator?

I hope to get down there this weekend but with them calling for 2 feet of snow it may not happen.
  11. Gladiator buyers - have you owned a Wrangler?

I bought my first jeep in 1986 and have had 7 of them since. I have never owner anything but a wrangler style CJ,TJ,JK so I am looking forward to the gladiator.
  12. Jeep issues query for general interest

I have had a long list of jeeps and my 14 has been the best of the bunch. The only problem I had on my 14 was a common radiator neck leak that they fixed for me. I have never owned a problem free jeep and I still buy them. If there was an option from another brand I may think otherwise. My 08...
  13. Bestop teaser concept: folding soft cover / shell / topper for Gladiator bed

Yup if the price isn't crazy I would order one in a second.
  14. Auto or 6-Speed....and why

Auto because I'm lazy and I don't keep vehicles long and auto has better resale.
  15. Which trim?

I'll be getting a rubicon because I don't want to wish I did later. Honestly most of the places I go with my current rubicon I also did easily in my 08 sahara but the rubicon does it much easier.
  16. How to negotiate?

The best thing to do it not put your self in a situation where you have to buy it. I really want the truck but if I don't get a decent amount below invoice I'll wait. All dealers will tell you that there will be a markup and there may be at first but if you are patient and wait there will be...
  17. 4 Wheel High rear locker... advantage?

I have BLD in my 14 rubi and to be honest it sucks. My 08 sahara was much better in the snow with LSD so I hope being able to lock the rear it will be better in the snow here in NH.
  18. What Tires and Why?

I will be running Duratracs. I have had two sets, the first had over 60K in good shape when I sold the jeep. The current set have 72K and just passed inspection in September. They are decent in the snow and are not as noisy as most other tires.
