i bought a new 8.4 uconnect part # 68417861AG it worked great.. plug and play no issues... looks like that part # has been replaced with 68417861AK ... here ya go this should work... no need to have the dealer program anything since it is a new unit.. i even have the offroad...

yes offroad pages work great.. navigation etc.... everything seemed to work except for the wifi stuff.. you would need to get another antenna so you can use the uconnect to unlock vehicle etc... but other than that.. everything else works great.. .

yes those options come with the 7 inch also..

just search that part number a few places will pop up .. looks like still around 1200 bucks... only need a unlock code of you buy used .

i have seen some people get the black tops painted to match.. the shop will sand it smooth and paint it.. seems to be from 700 to 1200 bucks from what i have seen

you can swap out the 7 inch for the 8.4 when you get it... i did works great... offroad pages and everything... so worse case if you end up with the 7 inch buy a new jt 8.4 mopar u connect and it is plug and play work great around 1200 bucks...plus you can sell the 7 inch for 500 or 600...

Yes I swapped in a 8.4 from a 7 inch worked no issues no programing needed. Just make sure u get a jt take out or new one ....the jl seem to process the backup cam differently. So with the jl units the backup cam will not work

Yes plug and play, easy as long as u get a gladiator take out. The jl 8.4 works just no backup cam with the jl one unfortunately. So try and find a jt one.

No never could make the backup cam work with a jl 8.4. Tried a few. So I sold it and found. a jt take out 8.4. And everything works perfectly...so something is different with the jl backup system I'm guessing the way it is processed like someone else said .

i did the swap also... it took a few stop and starts for everything to start working... i had a take out from another jt... but should work the same way.. seems to take a little while for the new radio to get all the info from your gladiator .
