I have both the hard top and premium soft top and love both here in MN. The only time the soft top was noticeably louder was driving on the highway directly into a very brutal wind - thought something was going to tear loose, but everything held together.
Other than that, love having the hard...
Totally agree on the rear window being a pain to put back in, but also a pain to store. I've tried rolling it and putting that and the quarter panels in a tote in the bed, which works but worry leaving it that way for long (or rolling/unrolling many times a season) could beat it up pretty good...
Got my JT last August (first Jeep) so had a little time to go topless/doorless up here in Minnesota, and eventually it'll get out of the 30's this Spring so I can strip 'er down again. Hopefully it's safe to drive doorless in these wild times, will just have to avoid driving through a sneeze...
Well said - I never had a Jeep and came from a Frontier, so the hard top AND soft top were both louder than I was used to. And maybe the soft top is technically louder, but is not annoying at all since I can't wait to put the soft top back on for a lot of long trips to the lake...all with a...
I have both. Since I live in Minnesota used the soft top last summer and now have the hard top on. I don't recall the soft top ever being louder than the hardtop, and cannot wait to get the soft top back on. I would recommend just getting the soft top where you are at. Good luck!
Thanks for sharing - these are exactly what I was thinking about getting, so was good to see a pic and hear your thoughts. A slightly rougher/louder ride is worth it. A guy at work said it perfect about the Overland with stock tires - "the truck looks great, but those tires makes it look like a...
I thought I'd share my dealings with Clearlidz - this is about my experience dealing with the company, not a review of the actual product (unfortunately).
I decided to pre-order Clearlidz for my JT on 11/1/19 - the website said expected delivery would be by "the end of the 4th quarter, 2019." I...
2020 JT Gladiator
end of list
Gotta start somewhere, even at 41 years old! Loving all the lists, fun to join a passionate group of folks in this Jeep world.
I'm unable to lock the tailgate - not with the key fob and not manually with the key. Wondering if I'm missing something obvious before calling the old service dept.
I was in the same boat when deciding and went with the Overland. I never drove a Rubicon (actually, I never drove ANY trim before taking delivery...that's either super baller or super stupid) so can't speak to it. But I love the Overland as my commuter. I'll wear down the factory rubber to at...
Hang in there, boys and girls, it really is worth the wait (maybe not worth the frustration some of y'all are having, but hope it ends up being worth it). I just took delivery yesterday (8/12), ordeed on 5/9. Haven't owned a manual in years, but the clutch is smooth and the ride is mighty fine...
Our dog had back surgery so his back legs are a bit wobbly. Built a simple and removable platform for my Frontier so he won't fall off the seats and onto the floor. We just cover it all with blankets so he can lay down and enjoy the ride. Suppose we should still harness him after reading this...
Ok, where are you guys getting your status code updates? I've tried Jeep Chat (or whatever it's called) and they were no help, and I'm sick of asking my dealer. I'm going on 12 weeks from order date, and am supposedly in JB status but never told when it went to that status. In the meantime I'll...
Thanks for lurking - this was a great thread. Seems to be very split on hanging via the window vs hinges. Am trying to get my garage set up just in case I my order ever comes in, and just can't make up my mind how to hang the doors or if I even need to. Being in Minnesota means short stretches...
