  1. 2.9 Finance option thru USAA

Wow, huge dissapointment! I called USAA to ask them about how the car buying service works Andy the guy literally had no information other than to tell me that Trucar does the care buying for them and I should call them.
  2. Texas Below Invoice

Phantom, I too am in McKinney. One advantage of the local dealership is the lifetime powertrain warranty they have built into the purchase of Jeep and Ram. It saved my bacon with the Commander purchase back in 2008. To date, they are in at $25k-$30 in powertrain repairs/parts (including the...
  3. 2.9 Finance option thru USAA

Whitepanther, yes you can be a member but I'm pretty sure that your dad may have to have been a member first. You will need his DOB/SS# and such. Got the wife to approve of the Gladiator, 1st and maybe hardest obstacle to overcome!
  4. What winch

Will hop over to those forums, thx.
  5. What winch

I have the same question about the winch. I will likely be getting the Mopar front bumper and need clarification on which winches it will fit. Anyone know?
  6. 2.9 Finance option thru USAA

Phantom, Im not 100% clear on that. I am still probably a couple months away from purchase so I have not contacted them to see what the exact process is. I will be researching a bit more later as I will probably need all the options I can get. I too have been playing with the numbers to see...
  7. 2.9 Finance option thru USAA

While speaking to my local dealer, he told me that thru USAA one can get as low as 2.9% financing. Here are the specs: -Needs to be a new car -Open a checking account with them to pay the loan ( can be auto deducted from what i understand) -use their car buying service I have been a member...
  8. Rubicon standard vs winch bumper

I guess it would depend on the bumper you put on the JT. The Mopar bumper looks as though the camera would see over it. However, if you got a winch mounted on top of a different type of bumper, it may obstruct the view. At least you can see where the wheels are pointed on the screen, lol!
  9. Rubicon standard vs winch bumper

Good to know. Thanks for the information. Not worried about a little work, it is a Jeep. May be better just to wait for an aftermarket one. Trying to keep cost low for now but would want to add a winch fairly quickly as I have passed on too many trails because of not having one to assist in...
  10. Rubicon standard vs winch bumper

I was under the impression that the standard Rubicon version came with a winch ready front bumper. Am I mistaken? In the "build and price" jeep website there is an option for a $650 "winch ready" bumper. Anyone able to set me straight?
  11. Pre Ordering

Good point, Pion, m looking at the Gobi color. Hmmm....
  12. Pre Ordering

JUst spoke to my local dealer about order date. I was told they will start taking orders at the beginning of May. Are you guys saying that ordering can be done in a few days? Please help, trying to get it all right.
  13. Towing with larger tires

I really would like the 2” lift for clearance but don’t want the tires to look too small and dorky.
  14. Towing with larger tires

I’m looking at putting 35’s on a Rubicon version and a 2” Mopar lift. I’m concern is that adding the 35’s will really affect the towing capability as it does in my commander. My Commander has the 4.7 (~280 hp) and 31” tires and I think 3.75 gear ratio. The stock tires are 245s vs 275’s. Towing...

  16. Stock 33’s with 2” MOPAR lift?

Ok, thanks or the link to those photos. I think it’s right on the edge of dorky but not dorky. Hmmm. I will post a follow up on the towing section. Steffen, which site? I have used the Jeep build page but did not see any lift options.
  17. Stock 33’s with 2” MOPAR lift?

Looking at the Rubicon and adding 2” Mopar lift. Do you guys think it would look too dorky with just the 33’s? I’d like to keep the 33’s just to keep towing at max value.
