Thanks, guys... I'm going with the Rubicon, although I'm waiting for Gobi, so I've still got a few more months to go. It is definitely overkill for my use, but if I got the Overland, I would look to replace the plastic side steps and bumper on Day 1, so I'd already be +$2,000 at that point...

I'd suggest waiting for the Gator. It remains to be seen what kind of premium the LE will command on the secondary market years from now, but that premium would already seem to be offset by the fact that you're paying an extra $10k to start with for options that you otherwise wouldn't have...

My sales guy in Orlando has advised that Gobi will be available (body only) on 8/26, but that the color matched hardtop will not be available until 10/7. This was in the context of him trying to get me to take a Billet Silver one instead. Does anyone have any corroborating (or different)...

If you get the saddle brown interior, then the primary difference between the Rubicon and Overland interior will be the painted plastic dash (in grey) on the Rubicon versus the leather wrapped dash on the Overland. Of course, on the Rubicon models, you will also have the differential lock...

I'm in Orlando. I've purchased from Field's in Sanford (North Orlando) and West Colonial in Orlando. I haven't been blown away by the deal or experience at either dealership. I'd be interested in a better option if available in Florida, but probably not worth the hassle for me to venture more...

I think you guys have conclusively talked me into the Rubicon at this point. For the record, mine will definitely see some dirt, but probably none of the rocks that they're climbing up and down in the review videos... Amazing stuff.

I agree completely. This will also be a third car for my family, so daily driver comfort doesn't factor into the equation as much for me than it would if this would be my DD.
