Hi all, I’m looking for some advice on selecting a winch plate to use in conjunction with a custom 6061 aluminum bumper I’d like to build.
Will the plates sold for the factory steel bumper work with a JT that came with the stock plastic one, since I’m going to be crafting a bumper to go over it...

What solutions are there for security with the half rack? I’m caught between your rack and the Ace upper decker, which would solve my security issue but for twice the price delivered.

Is it frowned upon to traverse the area from Telluride up Imogene heading east? Trying to plan a trip and it seems we’ll be coming into Telluride from the west on our way home. Would love to hit these trails
They never had body colored fender flares. It came with molded-in-color fender flares, which are still black and wider to accommodate the widetrack 44’s.
Im planning a late-summer trip for next year based in CO/UT/NV and definitely hope more of you bang up your gladiators so I know which trails I can and can’t do beforehand :like:
My opinion, get it for YOU. Your boy doesn’t have to drive the VW. It doesn’t have to have an MT if you don’t want one. You can buy clapped out MT trucks and cars all day for under 1000 bucks. Great learning experience for a kid, better than a 50k truck.
My advice to you is that you must consider what your monthly payment will be. Start now. If you can’t make your projected monthly payment to yourself every month without hiccup for a sustained period of time, the payments won’t work for you when you actually have the truck. I’ve been at it...
