I had a leak on the same door. It was a few drops during heavy rain hitting the door panel between the handle and glass. The dealer had someone perform a water test and they determined some weather stripping was not aligned properly. Seems to have taken care of it.
@5JeepsAz I don’t know if they’ll become more popular or not. There’s not too many around. It’s been several years since I’ve seen another. They had the 7 slot grill from ‘66-’71 and looked more like an International in ‘72 and ‘73. Mine has a V6 and drives great. The last two years a V8 was...
That's a '71 Jeepster SC1 Commando. It has original paint but looks a little rough. In good mechanical condition it might be worth $2000-3000. Fully restored could get near 20k. They're not as popular or expensive as the Broncos from the same era but very fun and more unique. Here's my '71 I've...
I have the same spots on my white truck that started showing up the past month after driving in all the road salt they use here. I used a clay bar before waxing in late October and assumed all contaminants were gone. I was hoping it was something in the solution they used on the roads that would...
What an amazing journey! Thanks for the photos. Spent some time in Yellowstone and Jackson several years ago and looking forward to going back some day.
No worries. I think it was more of a matter of me getting used to it. I had just driven 200 miles in our CX9 and an hour later jump in the Gladiator. They are entirely different vehicles and after about 30 miles didn't notice anything.
As much as I've read about tire pressure on this forum you think I would have checked it before leaving. Was playing around with all the display settings on the way home and realized all 4 tires were at 42 so I'm sure that had something to do with it.
Yes @Mightytalldude I remember seeing your JT there. Spencer, Jack, and Cathy were great to work with and would recommend Motor Inn to anyone. Easiest and best car buying experience ever, and today a very exciting one as well. Made the 200 mile trip from home to pick up mine today. The Gladiator...
I'm looking forward to making the trip to Spirit Lake on Monday and meeting Spencer and the others to pick up my all white Rubicon I ordered on August 1st! Including the day I ordered until it arrived earlier this week was only 41 days. How's that for a little Jeep karma - 1941 - 419.
Got my Commando back on the road and found some JT's at the local dealer. I didn't measure but the Sport S in the middle with 33" KO2's on stock wheels appears to be the same height as the Rubicon.
Yes - 3 speed V6. All original with 39,000 miles. I haven't done much to it, just a few mechanical items - starter, muffler, fuel pump, etc, and now some clutch repair. It's only seen snow a couple of times about 8 years ago when I had the top on because the kids forgot what it looked like with...
I've enjoyed reading all the stories and seeing pictures of some awesome trucks on the forum the past few months. It's given me some ideas for ordering a Gladiator later this summer. I liked Gator from the Wayout concept but didn't know if I wanted to wait that long and was thinking about going...
