Each time I had my issues this is what happened
ESS light comes on
Engine starts running rough
Check engine light comes on
Codes
P0300
P0171
P2096 (This one was only present 2 of the 3 times it happened)
Hi
I had the miss fire codes come up as well as the ESS light on mine after about 600 miles. It spent a month in the dealership, replace PCM, O2 sensors.
The final fix was a new valve cover and gasket. One tech noticed the smallest amount of oil on the back side of the block coming from the...
It hasn't been fixed yet, but apparently the issue is a leaky valve cover gasket that allows a very small drip of oil to fall onto the wire harness for the O2 sensor, then causes the sensor to fail causing all the codes. The service manager said theres a Service bulletin about it thats going to...
Well I had it for about 4 hours and its back to the dealer again, same 3 codes show up
P2096 P0300 P0171
No lemon law in Canada, I am stuck with them trying to fix it.
New Update
Wire harness checks out fine, new PCM installed and theres still a fault somewhere as the check engine light came on during the test drive.
At this point the Jeep has been at the dealership longer than it has been at home. To say I am upset and disappointed is an understatement.
UPDATE
As of right now the Head Office Jeep techs/engineers are coming to look at the Jeep. They have been going through the entire wire harness theres a new PCM on order, still nothing found.
Only 750 miles and its back in at the dealership.
