Installed 4.5” tf springs this last summer on my 20 rubi. Has upper and lower ca’s front and rear. The last few months I’ve been noticing a grinding/clunking noise at low speed while driving straight and turning. I’ve seen quite a few posts about this but I haven’t seen a solution or cause. In...
UPDATE
I can’t tighten bolts for shit apparently. That’s all it was.
For anyone reading this thread dealing with a similar issue, do yourself a favor and triple check all your bolts. Every. Last. One. Even if you’re certain that’s not the problem. It’ll save you time and aggravation. Trust me.
Dealing with the same situation right now as well. Bolts on all suspension parts have been double checked by me and a shop that I trust. Cannot find the answer. It was suggested by someone in another forum that the pinion angle of the front axle could be to blame. I know that I adjusted this...
I’ve had the wheels/tires on since before the lift was installed and they were balanced. Is it possible that the lift would change that? In your case, you balanced your tires and the clunking stopped? Thanks for the response
Installed my lift last weekend. Took the Jeep in for an alignment right after. They double checked everything and torqued everything to spec. Drove great for 3-4 days after, but then started hearing clunking when accelerating and braking. It’s gotten steadily worse. I’ve checked and verified...
I currently have the pinion supported by the Jack in order to get the right pinion angle. But that has resulted in the driver side wheel coming up off the ground. Should I lower it?
Im in the final stages of installing a 4.5” TF lift kit. Replacing all control arms. I’m down to the two front uppers and the first will not align on the frame. Can’t get the bolt through. Anyone have any ideas how I can get this lined up? Thanks
Thank you for your response. It makes much more sense knowing that. Thanks.
Now I’m just wishing I bought some cheap Bilsteins from the start so I could put the lift on and wait on the Falcons.
Just need to rant and hope that Teraflex sees it.
I ordered the 3.1’s in July. Was initially told 4 months. Bummer, but okay. Called in November and was told I’m next up, but when calling again a few weeks later, I was told it could be another 6 months. Since then, I’ve called every month only...
I saw someone local selling them for $200 total. I’ve been considering the 2.0’s as well though. Called Teraflex this morning and was told it’ll be another 2-3 months on the falcons.
