The story ends with me getting Jeep involved and having to trade it in. No longer a Gladiator guy. Had another sensor replaced and it was still flashing the warning. It had to go at that point.
FS: Bestop SunRider for JL/JT. Used only for '21 and '22. All hardware included and the good news is that tricky little clip is already taken care of! It's in excellent condition and it's quite a discount from new. I take care of my stuff, it's like new.
I was told that a "locker" message would show up if it was the lockers. They've already replaced a speed sensor and messed with wires. The problem persists. A service mgr said he could likely fix whatever it is now and it will likely return in 4-6 months. He's had multiple Rubis in several times...
Thanks to you and all for the comments/help. It does disable 4WD when lit. My dash was lighting up like a Christmas tree and I had numerous issues this morning. I checked with wiring at the FAD and followed along for all possible "crimped" points. I found one point and re-did the ziptie that...
Same here. It's killing me. The issues are VERY random and got more interesting y'day; I drove home in the rain for the first time in a few weeks. No warning tones or lights. Today it's dry - it's back! Every now and then I'm getting random "BRAKE" warnings from fwd collision system, etc. All...
My dealership has me on a waitlist for a loaner car so I can just leave it to be looked at. I requested an appointment from another dealer via the online service portal - no reply. This is sad. Second time I'm dealing with this and 3.5 weeks away from a 2200 mile round trip roadtrip. Not ideal.
That Z-locker sensor bridge seems to be "permanent" not temporary. The option is to patch it in and ziptie it in there or to carry it in the truck on the trails in case the "service 4WD" pops and disables lockers. As there are no codes, I have no idea if it's lockers or 4WD. I've seen everything...
You have the part number they used? I'm having the same issue in my Rubicon that you were having. I'm not sure the part is shared? I've searched Mopar and the web in general for "2020 Gladiator Rubicon transfer case motor" and I'm getting nada.
I just went to your thread of what you went through in December. I would bet that's my situation as well. I'm a month away from a VERY long road trip and I'm not hopeful this gets done in time. My dealer says they can't even get me in before April 10.
I conveniently got no paperwork when I picked up my truck from the repair so no idea what the code was. As I said though - with my Tazer Mini Lite there were no codes to clear...
Not sure. I wish I knew. So frustrating. In the summer, Jeep was assuming it was a speed sensor issue. Now I'm hearing about this diff sensor issue. Would really like to go back to my first two "trouble free" years with this vehicle. Outside of 35s, zero mods. Makes no sense.
Thanks to you and everyone for the replies! So frustrating as I was thinking of trying the Z-Locker sensor bypass (developed with AMW4x4 for their mods/applications) but no one can confirm that it will work. $178/sensor is a bit much for a "not sure" solution. As I said, I actually did some...
I see you have a '20 as well. Mine's a Rubi and I hear this problem is prevalent, but not specific to Rubis. I'm guessing by your reply you've not had this issue?
Thanks for the reply. There's a waitlist for a loaner thanks to the dealership being swamped by Jeeps with this issue amongst their other repairs. Ram will not have this problem because they didn't put these stupid sensors in the diffs on the Ram. This is a chronic problem. I don't really feel...
Hello! Second time around with this issue. I searched extensively online and what I found out is very daunting and was essentially confirmed by my dealer (in not such a nice way.) The Info Display flashes "Service 4WD System" and the little orange icon lights up for about three seconds and goes...
